Getcarter were you in “Raw Sex” with Roland Riveron?
I did all the bass for Raw Sex and shared a flat with Roland... but I'm not Simon Brint (the keyboard player)... who sadly died a few years back.So said:

About 15 years ago, I auditioned for the role of a presenter on a new property show. The proposed pay was less than i earned at the time as Land Director for a major housebuilder.
Did the show ever air?Remember the auditions well. I think I was crap.
I’ve obviously missed out here, as I’ve been on the national news after a couple of Court cases I was the OIC for, probably for about two or three minutes in total, but I never got a penny. I did make the national news on BBC, ITV, C4 and Sky for one of the jobs though. I’ve done a couple of radio interviews over the phone as well, again, no dollar for those either.
I did do a podcast a few months back, about when I developed work related PTSD, my treatment and recovery. I wasn’t expecting anything for that, the interviewer was a mate who’s done quite a few really interesting ones (he’s also interviewed the real life former detective, upon whom the character DCI Jayne Tennyson was based, which is a really good listen). “My” podcast has had about 500 listens and has also been promoted by a couple of other forces as “recommended listening” for their junior managers.
The “best” ones are the “quotes” on news websites, or in newspapers. We never actually say it, we speak to someone in the HQ press office, tell them about the job, they write up a few lines, email it to us to check, then it gets sent out/published online. So whenever you see “DC Dibble said...”, we usually haven’t. Not word for word, at any rate!

I did a landmark deal in the international capital markets for a Korean company back in the early 90's. A Korean television camera crew were dispatched to interview me. My bank laid on a conference room. The team set up the camera. The interviewer said (in ok English) he would ask me three questions and told me what they were. I didn't pay much attention and started to vaguely map out out my responses.
A few minutes of faffing later and they were all ready to go. The interviewer said "Ready?" and I nodded. The camera went live and the interviewer asked "gugje tujajadeul-ege maelyeogjeog-in-i hyeobsang-ui juyo cheugmyeon-eun mueos-ibnikka?"
I'd love to have seen my face at that moment. I don't speak a word of Korean. I had no idea what he was asking me. I waffled hopelessly whilst desperately trying to remember the three questions he'd asked and the order in which he'd asked them. Another two unintelligible questions followed which I decided to answer with total confidence with stuff that may or may not have related to that question.
I didn't get paid...
ETA: He blabbed at me in Korean but Korean characters don't work in the forum

one the home improvement programmes were doing an episode about a build I was dealing with,
they wanted me the BCO to appear on camera and find a few things wrong.
I refused, if you see the episode Im in the background walking away.
another was one of the lets tart up the house for some unfortunate without them knowing,
it was filmed over 4 weeks the woman who lived there was a scrounging bh,
again I didnt want to know.
I did appear on Croation TV during a 4x4 event, with subtitles,

I've been on telly loads, normally if something has gone wrong.
I'm a TV cameraman.
There was a bit on X Factor a couple of years back where I'm obviously in shot and you can even see my 'WTF I haven't read the script properly' expression lol.
Boring fact - my son is called Croyde.I'm a TV cameraman.

My nephew was on “new life in the sun” all last week, he sold out 2019 and took enquiries for 2020!
Which one was he? I haven't seen last week's yet.My mum was in a couple of chewing gum adverts, an indie film and an episode of Midsomer Murders.
She never got wealthy from it. She did it for the fun.
