Life is too short to hold grudges against random people on the internet I think. There are one or two who are consistently pedantic / no fun allowed etc, but on the flip side you see them being decent elsewhere so it doesnt really matter. Not that there are a vast number of names I remember here with there being so many members!

To be honest on a forum as un-customisable as this, that's all you can judge a person on. smile

Welshy’s alright but it does depend on whether he’s been drinking or not.

Some right shyte when he’s had a few.
Welshie is harmless. Has bit of a strange style sometimes when sober & definitely the shyte starts flowing after a few.I've never actually known him to be aggressive or nasty. Never could hold a grudge against him. He's more like the mate you all have that you invite out for the entertainment value of what nonsense he's going to come out with!!
He’s a pathological liar IMO.

I hold one grudge against a member of the tvr forum who decided, having never met me nor knowing a thing about my circumstances, to try and stop a body shop from taking a job on for me. That person I'm afraid will always be remembered because it transitioned from a schoolboy on a forum to real world personal.
Otherwise i just ignore those who annoy me.

Why on earth did they do that?!?
Yeah, bloody hell! They must have had a screw loose...
Your guess is as good as mine....
Long before I bought one, I was told TVR owners were an odd bunch smile

Just as well, could you imagine how awful it would be with avatars and signatures that plague other forums hurl

An upvote / downvote system would be ace though

I disagree, it would turn into a circle jerk of popular opinions (well, even moreso!) and stifle opposing views. A lot like reddit does really.

One of the best parts of PH is how simple it is and there isn't nonsense like that. I only recently realised how good it was when I briefly went to other forums / platforms which were blighted by the features!

Half the posters on ph are bullstters. At least with WB you know it’s bullst from the off.

Thankfully this place is one of the last remaining very active forums. The wealth of knowledge here is second to none, if I need an opinion on something I’ll google *random subject “pistonheads”* for a review I’ll generally trust.
Except Brexit. I don’t think I’ve seen any Brexit threads hehe
In terms of grudges, I have none. There’s definitely a few who value their own opinion very highly though!

He may or may not be. But he is harmless. And not somebody you could hold a grudge about.

there are a lotto false people here... that doesn't make them bad either.

It's the internet, if i don't like what someone posted or says, i am sure there are thousands of other places i can go. I did this as well, there were a few things happened on here back in 2012 that i disagreed with, so i cleared off to other parts of the web and stayed away fro the best part of 7 years. I now only come in for a few things in other parts of the forum but venture in here and read the odd thing here and there.

I hold a grudge against 2 members.

The first one quoted me but changed what I'd said completely, in quite a nasty way, to make it look like I held an unpleasant view I didn't hold, and then attacked me for holding that view!! As did others because they'd read what he was quoting me as saying, which I never said. A complete wker.

The second one attacked me for supporting something I didn't support. When I asked him to find anything I'd said to suggest I supported the view he said I did, he admitted he couldn't, but refused to apologise because "I bet that's what you think". (it wasn't).

So another wker.

But revenge is a dish served cold, so I'll just wait for the right opportunity. But I have both their cards marked.

Having said that, I am a very petty and childish person. hehe

To be fair it sounds like a bloke I used to work with. I had 3 urgent jobs with 2 tool makers, due to an impending job one date for (IIRC) Ford.
He had another less urgent job and told both tool makers to prioritise his over mine.

My thoughts some 20 years later are he will be 78 now, and probably going senile. tt.

Wow, I'm amazed that this tiny thing has stuck in your head 20 years later.

Where’s yonex and the cycling crew ? smile they love my posts...

But in all seriousness even I couldnt be bothered to trawl through my own posting history for months in the hope of quoting something to prove some minor discussion point. Where do they find the time... keeps them out of trouble in the real world I guess...

I'm sure there was a case where a PHer reported another PHer to his employer because of something he posted online. There's one thing to grumble and fight online, but to take it into real life is a whole other level.
I've had that and worse...

I had to laugh though because the muppet didn't realise I work for myself rofl

Some people take this st *way* too personally.

I have a PH stalker who has followed me into real life trying to cause me as much grief as possible.

It used to wind me up but when I realised how much time he was wasting focusing on everything I did or said I realised just how tragic and desperate he really was/is.

I just ignore it now!
