I don't tbh.

Why would you?

I like a good debate and reading others opinions on st. There's a lot to be learned from considering other people's perspectives.

I have a PH stalker who has followed me into real life trying to cause me as much grief as possible.

It used to wind me up but when I realised how much time he was wasting focusing on everything I did or said I realised just how tragic and desperate he really was/is.

I just ignore it now!
Really ?

I'm not sure I would call that tragic and desperate.

Mental and freaky would seem more fitting ...

You do realise there are laws against that kind of stuff, even if this is the internet ...

For my part, I've been banned from a couple of threads on here recently.

I'm not sure if it's over zealous moderating or if I have a cyber-stalker.

If it's the latter, I'm flattered biggrin

When someone tries to contact your employer about stuff you post on a forum you know they're a little too invested in it.

Or they're utterly fking mental rofl

It’s not a forum specific issue to me - if you hold grudges in real life you are likely to carry this trait onto the internets. If you don’t, you won’t.

In the whole I don’t bear grudges - life is too short. People have differing views and we are all going to encounter rude people. You can either deal with it or allow it to bother you.

I will allow myself a couple of exceptions however of people who I loath in a way and with a depth beyond which they will never comprehend. One was a particularly vindictive teacher who was a total prick to me for many years. A pestilence of a 1000 years on his ass.

To be fair it sounds like a bloke I used to work with. I had 3 urgent jobs with 2 tool makers, due to an impending job one date for (IIRC) Ford.
He had another less urgent job and told both tool makers to prioritise his over mine.

My thoughts some 20 years later are he will be 78 now, and probably going senile. tt.
Wow, I'm amazed that this tiny thing has stuck in your head 20 years later.
The amount of stress I was under to put an assembly and test line together for a variable nozzle turbo, which was going to Ford, and the total lack of support, almost brought me to a breakdown. To have the bloke you sit next to deliberately make it impossible to keep to the plan, is not something I'll ever forget.

I don't have any deep views on any Forum poster - online chats are not indicative of what a personal meeting would be like.

We are all just avatars here, the real person hidden behind an internet persona. As such, it is silly, to me, to take anything personally online. It is all just amusement. smile

Most posters are alright as long as you avoid their trigger subjects. Most rabid NP&Eers are actually quite normal in the saner sections of PH. (Some are complete dingbats no matter where they post though).
Spot on... if you post in certain sub forums you can expect it people to disagree & if you always post on similar topics you can expect the same people to be disagreeing - I don’t think it’s much of a grudge thing. There’s only one regular poster who springs to mind as always being rude or condescending but she was the same to everyone so doubt it was ever personal.

Can't say there's any usernames that stand out to me.

I do recall one charmer commenting on my opinion of something based on the garage on here that hadn't been updated in years. Seem to use that as some kind of void on my opinion and took the same issues into another thread I commented on. Haven't seen the name pop up since so can't have been that important.

It does surprise me that people can be so volatile on here. Not everyone has to agree with things but it's baffling how things get turned around on posters. Also never understood the need to be so rude sometimes. The way some people speak to people on here, in real life they wouldn't have got too far being so quick to be unpleasant.

In the main part though I reckon most on here are decent.

Indeed. I've never posted in the flying forum but I know exactly who you're talking about.

She had a grudge against the whole world!

Very odd individual IMO.

There’s one poster on here that I would like to meet in person and invite them to say the same thing to my face that they called me from the safety of their keyboard
