Rick Stein never clears his plate. If it was so good, why does he leave so much behind on the plate, untouched? As he slings his fork down having finished. Every bloody time!
It's strange that you should say that, as I have the opposite impression - I was watching one of his shows the other day and thought to myself the "fork/knife & fork/spoon onto cleared plate" shot was getting repetitive. 21st Century Man said:

2 reasons:1. When filming these sort of shows they often visit multiple restaurants per day e.g, they might have more than one lunch, then more than one dinner.
2. As already said, the crew eat stuff off camera.
The way that Facebook adds the "Recommend a place" (or it might be "recommend a site") to the bottom of a post that doesn't warrant it. I've just posted about a rotor arm, didn't use any language that suggested I was recommended where to get one, or one to use. And yet here it is, adding a thing I didn't want.

When freemium apps move features that you regularly used in the free version into the Premium version. Or, to put it another way, when people ask you to pay for stuff you used to get for free.
Added annoyance for the fact that I did actually buy the premium version a while back but this is no longer recognised and has been downgraded to a 'donation'.

Hamilton. I don't like musicals anyway, but I like Hamilton even less than most. Combine the sort of slow, clumsy rapping you might find in a Christian summer camp teen video on the dangers of alcohol, with a cloyingly woke historic revisionism that casts every decent character as a strapping young black man. Portray the king as a sort of weedy, high-camp English maniac, just like Disney has done with every villain since the '40s. How woke.
Continue on this trajectory and by 2050 you will have Armstrong: brothers on the moon. Cape Canaveral will be staffed by incompetent white men who bicker away and break off into effete soliloquies at every whim. It takes the trans, genderqueer non-binary Person of Color janitor to figure out the complex mathematics required to put Neil Armstrong, the father of the moonwalk who grew up in Queens never knowing his father, on the moon.
All watched over by a 100% white audience with a penchant for self flagellation.

I checked my account history, and in 2018 I paid a flat £4.39 for the "Pro Version" but this no longer seems to be a thing, and there is now a "Premium version" which is £25.49 per annum. If I click "Restore purchase" in the app then it says "Your current Google Play Store account has no purchases"Just feels a bit sucky to me.
Edit: There may be some confusion on my part. This product has several apps ("YouCam Perfect", "YouCam Makeup", "YouCam Fun", etc.) and it's unclear what "Pro Version" applies to. The aforementioned "Restore purchase" fail was in YouCam Perfect. However, I just clicked "Restore purchase" in YouCam Makeup and it said it was successful, although it's unclear what it has unlocked. I also paid £1,89 in 2017 for "Remove ads" on one of the YouCam apps but it's unclear which.
Anyway, fact is that I used the 'Smile Correction' in YouCam Perfect a lot and now it is suddenly a Premium feature and this annoys me beyond reason.

You won’t have to wait long. Last years’ Woke at War on t’beeb was the an object lesson on how to reinterpret our troublesome past. Once all those incorrect books have long disappeared all that will be left is online histories open to editing as required.Brave new world. Annoys the reason out of one.

I don't think anyone wants to erase or rewrite history. But I think it is perfectly valid to stop celebrating aspects of it. For example, removing a statue honouring a slave trader that was already hugely divisive and had long been campaigned for removal, is entirely valid. I don't agree with the vigilante way in which it happened, mind, but I totally condone the desire to stop celebrating / honouring a slave trader. Brave new world. Annoys the reason out of one.
Without wishing to invoke Godwin's Law, in Germany they do not try to pretend WW2 never happened, but they do not honour it and there is a sense of national shame about it. They don't have statues commemorating key figures from WW2.

Don't come in here with a sensible argument and reasonable discourse.
This is about people getting angry over nothing and creating ever more elaborate, fanciful and highly unlikely scenarios to justify their hate of a complete non-issue.
As soon as I see "woke" in a post, I scroll past it as you can guarantee that nothing in that post is worth your time to read.
The woke people are annoying but are easy to ignore. The anti-woke crowd are even more annoying. The irony that is lost on them is that they're doing the exact same thing as the woke crowd but with a different orthodoxy (and without the self awareness).
