Your foppish lethargy is an example why the UK needs immigrants to do work that Brits think is beneath them.

We are surprised you found the energy to type your post.

Have a lie down, don't tire yourself.
This'll be good.

I ordered a Ring doorbell from Amazon, expecting it to be, well, the size of a doorbell. This thing arrived, it was huge, about the size of a pack of smokes.

Returned by post within an hour I reckon.

So you're posting something you've owned for 10yrs, and still own in the "shortest time you've owned something"

I've had pencils for less time.

I think we've got a winner.

I’ve just sold a car I purchase new. It only had 600 miles on the clock.
I didn’t like the colour.
I bought an Audi SQ5 diesel on finance yesterday, been approved and it was mine for all of two minutes before I changed my mind and cancelled the agreement. Sky high road tax made me think twice. Well within the 14 day cooling off period biggrin

Until you've taken delivery it doesn't really count.

I remember as a kid keeping onto my parents about this RC plane I wanted costing over 100 quid. They finally gave in and off we went to the nearest field, full throttle and up it went only for it to carry on up out of sight and never to be seen again!

I had taken delivery... in the sense I could have driven it out of the dealer's premises and headed home. Was in two minds over that or a BMW. More used to BMW's having bought a fair few, amd prefer the layout. Dealer, though exasperated understood, said I could sleep on it and think it over so the money transfer was reversed. Decided to call back today and go for a BMW instead wink

Not sure buying on finance qualifies as ownership.

When I was a wee lad I bought a tamagotchi, ripped open the plastic packaging and it fell out and broke the screen.

Gutted.

On hearing the plinky plonk version of greensleeves I was sent out with money to buy myself an ice cream.
A cone was ordered, I took it off the server and turned away from the van.
A dog jumped at me, knocked the ice cream off the cone, and caught it and swallowed it in one go.
I was not a happy eight year old.

Samsung Galaxy S3. Got it home, opened the box. Went to put it on charge. The charger port was missing. No messing. It wasn’t there. Just an empty hole. Returned and exchanged within a few hours.

Years ago, not long after they were first introduced, I bought a Land Rover Discovery three days after I had sold it.
I remember it had a genuine 1,234 miles on the clock.

Complicated story, but I made a decent commission on the transactions.

What do I win? bowtie

A couple of years ago up the west coast of ireland
some spectacular roads all on the dashcam,
decided to buy a new card to save the video
paid about 15 euro for a new card in a fuel station,
wife opend the packaging, and the card dissapeared into my footwell,
even now its never turned up.

Loads of stuff, but lets keep it to the less boring eh ?

Mk2 Golf gti. Had it overnight. Woke up to a soaking carpet, done some extra digging and found the warped bulkhead, double checked the full dealer service history and found that faked as well.
Car was returned to the seller who's father was waiting with the cash as he (the seller) had hidden from what he was likely to get for taking the piss.

I've had 3 drones in the past 12 months, all 3 flew away never to be seen again the first time I used them. I've given up now. Luckily they were relatively cheap, all under about £30. I've learnt my lesson.
