Tell Us Something Really Trivial About Your Life (Vol 32)
Discussion
We went to Manchester for Stepdaughter #1's birthday. Yesterday the ladies went shopping so I took the opportunity to drive to Calderdale to look at a disused petrol station featured in the Humer Unbeam thread. It's still there, it's still standing and it's still disused. There was also a van I thought I'd share with you:

Hang on we don’t have Bobbers coordinates yet and he’s been quite good today possibly due to the pre dentist nerves and a bottle of single malt at lunchtime. Dicky the spotter is off radar scouting for grills and Bomma has his hands full of something or other to do with scooters and shooters...Two things, firstly that emojicondoobry is quite disturbing at that magnification, and secondly that is lovely looking old bus isn't it?!?!
My day ended up being pretty good to be fair, I sorted the issue with the job with a good old dollop of ingenuity, offset balancing and downright lying to the machine, my dentist said other than some micro cracks starting to appear, my teeth, gums and associated gubbins are in good shape, and since arriving home I've thrown together a passable venison casserole, which is in the oven simmering nicely as I type this!!!!
Thanks for not bombarding the machine shop Pushfit, there's always tomorrow old chap!!!

Why is there only 1 page of "What's new?"
I usually look on page 2 and 3 for stuff I might want to read.
Having difficulty finding anything interesting.
Perhaps I should give up............again.......

I would roll out a band and start a parade to gee you up, but i don't have any bunting, still!!!!!
Had a great day.
Miss Scrump the elder received her GCSE results and did very well. I am a very proud parent.
After a surprisingly efficient visit to register her at a new school for her A Levels we went to her choice of restaurant for lunch and she chose very well.
A good meal and some good wine was followed by an afternoon kip.
Did I say I am a very proud of her?

I do apologise, I have a habit of buggering off for a few hours then 'skim reading' the thread. I then go back and have a proper look.
I've taken a fair bit of interest in the 'Tony's Food Van' thing. I lived in a small village in Norfolk around the mid 1980's, we used to get one similar to that come around on a Friday evening.
Did some lovely fish and chips, got some nice 'batter bits' too if you asked for them. Magnificent burgers too, if you were really hungry. Proper things they were, they were never sold by weight as in quarter or half pounders. Just bloody huge.
I'm just wondering if the food van was just a Norfolk thing, or did anyone else have a similar experience?
I wish we had one around here now. I'd be out like a bloody shot.

I've been doing a bit of scouting myself today:I searched for Pushfit's TVR oil, but it looks like some bugger had beaten me to it.
Never mind, I pressed on from Finchingfield to this place:
Hang on, the road sign is not very legible in that pic, so try this one:
Anybody recognise the name?
