Well, I, that's to say, er, you see I, um......probably best not to ask for them back, if I'm being completely honest!!!! yikes

I noticed we still have some Gold finches in the garden so I bought more nuts and seeds today, dutifully filled the feeders up when I got home, no Gold finches but I did see a fat squirrel, several crows, a handful of pigeons and a couple of magpies!!!! grumpy

Goldfinches are rather partial to Niger seed. Tiny little black things.
The seeds, not the goldfinches.
Put some of those in a feeder and they will come.
I don't know how they get to know it's there, but they soon find it!

No disrespect intended towards your virtual hug but actual physical sensations do it for me.

A few spline twisting launches in something quick off the mark would cheer me up better.

Although we could try a real hug if no one's about. See how that goes.
You're not normally that coy!!!
You are referring to one instance on a particularly cold day.

I was lucky enough to meet Rodger Moore one Sunday morning at the BBC.
We shared walking down two or three flights of stairs. Very nice chap and he was as interested in me as I was he.
I think he had been doing an interview with David Frost (Frost on Sunday?).

I was also lucky enough to meet David Frost the following Sunday on the same stairs.
Trivial what?

When Wilko Johnson was very poorly and had done his Final Tour* he released an album with Roger Daltrey. HMV announced Wilko would be signing CDs at their shop on Oxford Street one evening. I was working not a million miles away and thought I'd totter up there and meet him. When I arrived I was well ahead of schedule and was greeted by apologetic record company staff. Wilko was ill and couldn't make it but someone was standing in for him if that was okay. And so it was that I met Roger Daltrey. What a nice chap. He stood up, he looked me in the eye, he shook my hand, he listened to what I had to say, he replied, he signed my CD, said he would pass on our best to Wilko and then stood up to shake my hand and bid me farewell. Him what sings Won't Get Fooled Again and My Generation. That Roger Daltrey. Him what performed at Woodstock.

Chuffed I was.

*Wilko survives still, minus most of his insides. No one is sure how.

I've probably told this story before so if I have I'll apologise, my mum and stepdad used to have a successful power tool business, each year they'd have a golf day for charity at the club they belonged to, usual thing of a handful of celebrities which club members could pay to have a round with, now I'm not a golfist, I tried it but didn't enjoy it, but I'd occasionally turn up at their charity day to caddy for people, one of the days there was Graeme Le Saux, Matthew Le Tissier and Alan Ball all playing, I'm not a football fan of any shape or description so for me it was just a case of three nice blokes who all enjoyed a beer, and we did consume a few!!! A mate who's a rabid Southampton supporter didn't speak to me for a week after I told him who I'd been drinking with!!!

I like the idea of dentists making house calls. Bumping all their equipment upstairs to tend to their Duvet Patients.
"Now spit."
"Where?"
"In here."
"That's one of my slippers."
"Needs must Mr Duvet."
It's funny you should say that but the company i work for does make a portable kit that a dentist could use for such a visit. You wouldn't want them taking a tooth out with it but a filling is a definite possibility and scaling & polish is easy.

Well that turned into an interesting night!!! We've just had a visit from our neighbour, he's a jolly nice chap and we've become good friends, we knew he was going in for an operation to remove a piece of his lung but he's been waiting for an appointment, he was notified yesterday that it's happening tomorrow, he had a triple bypass some years back and because of that they can't go in through his chest, instead they're going in through his side!!! He came round to let us know, we'd already told him and his wife that anything they need just let us know, they're lovely people and have helped us a few times!!!

Ouch!!!

Little futter....i was play fighting with The Hound of The Futskervilles and he knows if i have my gloves on, he can bite as much as he wants but hands only, nowhere else*
Little futter was getting a bit too excited and i should have zigged but zagged instead and he gave me a proper bite. He's left teeth marks too.

So that was the end of play time tonight, he's currently destroying one of his toys happily.

* it took me many painful lessons to get him to understand the meaning of me getting a certain pair of gloves

I do love that you call him the Hound of the Futskervilles!!! hehe
Now I LOVE dogs, but right now I'm trying to get to sleep as I'm up at 0415, but unfortunately my neighbour's dog is barking, not the neighbour who came round earlier, this is the other side!!!

You should here him go off when someone knocks on the door, for a dog who weighs about 8kg he makes the most godawful racket as if the Hound of The Futskervilles was in here rofl
Neighbours have a Pug/Shi Tzu cross and it's an outdoor dog, and they usually end up having to shout at it around midnight to stop the bleeding thing barking. If the wind blows this things barks.

Anyway, night Bobbers wavey
