We saw Wilko J at his penultimate farewell gig. Completely brilliant and total don’t-give-a-st be very guy nutter.
What a nice guy. Total nutter.

Are we talking meeting celebs to talk to? I don’t have many but David Gilmour was a top bloke and Karl Hynd from Underworld is a nice guy very quiet but that was over two long evenings and he was jet lagged. Mrs P has met a lot from politics and media and there’s a disproportionate number of utter wkers there but legal issues with under age girls and Epstein forbids me to name the self obsessed top tt.

Does she taste the same as Sally Anderson?
I gave her one of my aniseed balls and she snogged me.

She tasted.... aniseedy. lick Quite nice really. She said whatever you do, don't tell anyone.

Oh.

When I snogged Emily Brassington round the back of the pavilion after lunch the other day, she tasted of spotted dick.

And custard. smile

There are magazines for people like you Bobbers nono. I've got a few here you can borrow if you like...!

More Persuaders nonsense…. the first of the twenty four episodes aired in the UK on 17/9/71 and the last one on 25/2/72 (Jason King was aired at the same time on alternate days), the viewing figures were so good that ITC wanted to start on another series, five scripts were quickly written for this second batch but by then Roger had got the call from Cubbie Broccoli to do James Bond so it was cancelled. Shooting began in June 1970 with five weeks in the South of France, the DBS left the Aston factory on 27/5/70 and was tarted up to look like a V8 before being driven to the continent. Tony Curtis wore gloves in virtually all of the episodes to cover the tobacco stains on his hands, he liked a 'bit of a smoke' did our Tone!
I thought The Persuaders! (note correct use of exclamation mark) hadn't been well received, particularly in the US, and that was why it was canned, freeing up Rog for Bondian duty.

Wasn't the DBS in OHMSS also tarted up to look like a V8? I remember Roger saying the stunt driver was useless so he did most of it. He also designed his own clothes, but if I was him I'd keep quiet about that.

My (11 year old) daughter wrote a poem with an environmental slant to it and it was deemed good enough for inclusion in a poems book that will be published in January - I'm so proud smile

There's a prize aspect too which is: 1st:A top prize of the Young Writers Award of excellence, 2nd: £500, 3rd: £250 and 5 other "we like the poem" prizes of £100. Personally I hope she wins second prize hehe

In addition, I can preorder the poetry book for the low-low price of £17 each. Or buy 2 get one free.

So then, let's see what it's like on this machine compared to my machine, well for a start the internet is s l o w, r e a l l y s l o w!
The coolant stinks, this is because the guy who runs it normally is a lazy fker!!
Talking of lazy, he can't even be bothered to sweep the floor at the end of his shift!!!
So overall, not very good!!! frown

Watch out for that. There's many a Y axis put out of joint by lack of lube.

I have raised a job number for TT to put the work hours against it, currently its running at £1.62.

A cheque is fine

Bobbers you should try this - if it works I'll take 10% as management and book a cruise

You're right it didn't do that well in the US but it did do very well here and in a lot of other countries, I think the septics didn't really get the British humour in it. And a thousand pardons for omitting the exclamation mark! Rog did a lot of the driving in the DBS but you can see the stunt driver in some scenes. On the most recent DVD box set there's some extra news footage of Rog visiting the tailors who made his clothing designs. Five scripts and a production schedule were ready to go for a second series, but 'Bond' came calling and that was that. Funny thing about that is that Rog went to see Broccoli several times before signing on the dotted line, each time Broccoli told him to cut his hair a bit shorter as he thought it looked too foppish - Rog's hair got longer during the filming of The Persuaders(! wink) while Tone's got greyer!

From the first few days of filming...

The DBS was at the NEC a few years ago, looked fantastic in the metal...cloud9
