I'm not sure about the insurance for Scrumplet, but how's about an Alfa Mito…?
I hadn't thought of those. Always thought they were quite good looking so I am not sure why they weren't more popular.
Off to check out mitos on autotrader and see how many internal organs I would have to sell to pay for the insurance.
Internal organs? Sausages?

Mito Meato Mato.

I see a lot of them round our way, mostly driven by youngish Scrumplet types. It's a sign!

Still quite small but without the short wheelbase induced jarring ride of the Fiat 500.

I took my dad to look at a mobility scooter today, unfortunately it wasn't big enough for him so we're now searching the local ads for something a bit more up to the job!!!

What did you have replaced on the 911 then Scrump?

Have read up on the forums about them Scrump as they have a bit of a bad rep I seem to recall.

I've been internetless for 24 hours or more. I've just had to read about 6 pages of trival drivel!

Never mind Christmas is just round the corner.

The 911 is back with me after having a bit of a refresh of suspension arms and bushes. Might have to reduce my budget for scrumplet the elder's car after paying the ransom for the return of the 911.
The recalcitrant bolt has finally surrendered in three pieces to my determined onslaught, so Percy is now proudly sporting a pair of replacement coil overs, with the new attachment bolts and bushes liberally coated in Never-Seez compound on assembly.
I have no idea how much to charge myself for the labour, but I reckon a fair few beers and the rest of that bottle of Glen Marnoch Speyside Single Malt at the very least.
I think I deserve it! angel

Monday, P5B, it's Monday.

Until midnight, when it sort of morphs into Tuesday, which means Christmas will be almost upon us. xmas

Yes, Bobbers, it is a bit chilly oop norf, but it has its' compensations in that instead of lying in puddles, it was sheet ice. Far more comfortable. smile

yes front and rear "coffin" arms, front top mounts and spherical bearings, anti roll bar bushes, track rod ends, bump stops and a few other assorted bushes. (The springs and dampers are relatively new). Had the geometry checked and reset then also had the Aircon fixed whilst it was there (needed a new condenser due stone damage).

I think that is everything. Not really had a chance to drive it far enough to see what difference it makes but on the short drive home it did seem to ride in a more controlled manner.

You'd think Scrump would replace his arms before he went under the car.

It wasn't planned to be quite so comprehensive but one thing led to another.

That was indeed my first thought, why would you want to get your shiny new arms all dirty!?!?!

Ta Glenners, I book on for duty at 23.59 tonight for a ten hour job which means the rest of Tuesday will disappear in a fog of sleep. Roll on Friday. And Christmas!
