Back from a Family day out in Canterbury, Could not believe the amount of Down and outs in the High street and other shopping areas.
Not a Copper in sight to move any of them on. Signs on lamposts saying £100 fine if caught drinking in the street, a few of em had Cans. frown

Did Someone mention George Lucas?
Oooh.....now that was a brilliant film cloud9
Indeed it was, mind you the budget was a bit ropey....

I also seem to remember the car Harrison Ford's character drove was previously used in Two Lane Blacktop which is a strange film but not that dissimilar to American Graffiti.

Yes it was, it was one of two used in Two Lane Blacktop wink

I suppose it's bit like Easy Rider only on four wheels rather than two.... very much of its time.

American Graffiti was and still is Right up my street, I was fortunate to see it when it first came out at the cinema on the Big screen, and never had a film gripped me more.
From that film I got heavily into Rock N Roll music, American cars, Drag Racing, clothing style, Hell remember the Band "Slick" Even they adopted the American Baseball look.
That Film changed my life!

I did not know the 55 Chevy had been used in Two Lane Black Top! That film is a bit darker, but still a great film with an unusual ending.

I like the film ...The California Kid ,1974 ,Martin Sheen in the lead role.

More hot rod content.

No idea when it was last on tv.

I booked The Barge in MK the week before Christmas but had to unbook due to someone not being able to make it. Its one of these chain pubs - do you know if it’s ok as I’ll need to rebook for Jan?

Thanks awfully

It's been a while and strangely, his son and nephew both appeared in films with cars as the main theme

Charlie Sheen in The Wraith

Emilio Estevez in Repo Man which is bizarre but brilliant and along with the epic Rumble Fish, is one of my fave films.

Cheese!!! Every year we buy huge amounts of cheese for Christmas, we didn't buy so much this year and we still have shed loads left!!!
That pub looks good ApO, certainly more reasonably priced than Miller and Carter, the bill for two drinks, two starters and two steak mains was £75!!!! eek
I could have bought a takeaway and a decent bottle of whisky for that!!! hehe
