I'm indifferent about the royal family, but if you want to save the planet, don't have any children at all.

I saw a fly-posted A4 thing on a telephone junction box not that long ago, it read "Worried about the air your children are breathing? Stop having them then."

+1 more, they will have a circle of yes people around them, and will remain in their bubble.

For some reason, see a divorce on the cards at some point, but who knows, maybe not.

Elton John should have kept his gob shut.

He's just inflaming the situation,

The fuss would have died down by next week.

It's almost like Elton John thought the 'furore' was about the cost, so he stuck his oar in with "I paid for it" but then someone's informed him that it was to do with climate change and added the tripe about carbon trade off.

And the added tag line off "they've done so much this year" ...really living in the real world our Elton, isn't he?

But, bless him, at least he’s beholden to nobody and every penny he has he made himself through talent and hard work.

EJ sticking up for his mate Diana's youngest who is getting a beating in the press, so throwing money at the situation quoting the buzz words 'carbon footprint' as an afterthought is just laughable

Yuk.

According to the Telegraph:-

"Sir Elton insisted he and his husband David Furnish had made “an appropriate contribution” to a company that specialises in offsetting carbon emissions. "The flights, said Sir Elton, were as a consequence carbon neutral."

Well, no. That plane flying through the sky either did something, or it didn't. Giving money to a company can't undo something that has already happened.

And:-

“Prince Harry’s Mother, Diana Princess Of Wales was one of my dearest friends. I feel a profound sense of obligation to protect Harry and his family from the unnecessary press intrusion that contributed to Diana’s untimely death.”

Well, no. The thing that contributed most to Diana's death was allowing herself to be driven through the streets and tunnels of Paris by a drug using employee who had been drinking, whilst she was not wearing the seat belt provided.

Environmental damage has been treated as a necessary by-product of economic growth. So deeply ingrained is this thinking that it has been considered part of the natural order that humankind’s development comes at the expense of our planet. Only now are we starting to notice and understand the damage that we’ve been causing. With nearly 7.7 billion people inhabiting this Earth, every choice, every footprint, every action makes a difference

“The BBC's fact-checking team have calculated that the Duke and Duchess's two return flights by private jet would have created 37.6 tonnes of CO2: "more than six times an average Briton's yearly emissions, or 111 times those of a person in Lesotho".”

There you go, her buddies have pulled the "RACIST!" card now. Apparently we're racist for criticising their antics.

No dears it's the hypocrisy that's being called out, not the skin colour. Would have thought that obvious anyway given that it's Harry copping the flak just as much as Meghan. Maybe we're all still a little bit gingerist.

Have no idea who Jameela Jamil is, don't think I want know either if she's this much of an idiot.

Every time these celebrities say something it just makes things even worse.

Not safe you say?

No sensible person is saying that they shouldn’t take private jets. However if they do want to do that then stop lecturing the rest of us about our carbon footprints.

Yep, couldn't give a monkies how they get about, however start preaching and not taking your own advice then it's a problem.

I'd love to know what Wills and Kate make of it all.

Because they work incredibly hard and sacrifice so much for the nation (and planet) Sir Elton paid for their holiday to give them a much needed break.

Presumably it was one owned by Benny so Elton had it lying around anyway?

You just know that they’ll be on a normal scheduled flight next time just to rub it in a bit (and making sure they’re seen to be doing so) wink
