My own favourite example which I have referenced in this tgrwdf before, I think, was when someone moved to Lossiemouth aka RAF Lossiemouth. A nice house overlooking the west beach... directly under the landing path for many a typhoon and the like.
A few times a year you could expect his rants to make it into the featured letters section of the local rag, The Northern Scot. Had my own run-in with him for having a jetski and daring to use it as intended.

Also Brands Hatch - new houses built near the Grand Prix loop, naive people move in and complain about the noise, Brands now limited to using the loop (IIRC) seven times a year…
Croft Circuit was nearly closed after new people complained but I think there was a bit of inter family arguments going on at the timeSpidersWeb said:
Hmmm... how does that work.
Does someone who has had their car vandalised in that street return to park their car again, but instead of commuting into the office take a day off work and hang around all day on the hope that the vandal appears and they can stab them?
The person vandalising the commuter's cars could see them leaving them at 6.30am and then not returning to them until the evening, so had all day to do whatever they wanted whilst the owner was away.
Brick through the window of the house they were parked outside? Just going back to the station parking chat from a last page, I was at a recovery yard in Liverpool recently and there was a Passat covered in paint and with all windows smashed.
My first thought was "been caught cheating" but no, they explained it happens on a local rough estate where people leave cars to save on airport parking.
A few have been burnt out.
Apparently another favourite is they smash the windows and fill the car to the roof with contents of bins.

Why can I picture the original poster furiously tapping away on her phone, in her dressing gown on her well worn cream leather sofa in her small living room in her mid terraced house, all the big lights on, fire on, Ant and Dec on TV, maybe a can of cider or two on the coffee table, dog cage in the corner of the room.... It was the ex wife of the circuit owner who did all the complaining, she lived in the house just by the entry/exit of the track. She moved out a few years back and things eased off.Skyedriver said:

I know airport parking is expensive, but is it really worth the hassle of fannying around trying to find a street to park on? You've then got to get to the terminal, they aren't usually in walking distance, or even have a proper path to walk along, so you'd have to get a taxi anyway. So the saving is, what £50, maybe £100?My first thought was "been caught cheating" but no, they explained it happens on a local rough estate where people leave cars to save on airport parking.

Although is it just a British thing to get wound up by "outsiders" parking on your street? Whenever my late (Spanish) FiL flew over from Madrid he would always park on a nearby residential street and just ask a random local for a lift to the terminal

You could walk further inside the terminal than from the nearest housing to the terminal entrance.Although is it just a British thing to get wound up by "outsiders" parking on your street?
