People in our area seemingly have no idea where they live. Admittedly it's an odd little area that borders 3 local authorities, but all have the same postcode start. One of those authorities is in Tier 2, the other 2 (including mine) Tier 1.
Since Friday there has been a dozen posts asking if they are in Tier 2. The simple response of 'Check who you pay your council tax to' is beyond them, as is the even simpler 'what does it say on your bin?' Everyone is 'so confused' and 'the Government should make it easier!'
In Caravan news, she's gone. I've read she's moved to a lay by out towards the countryside but unsure how true that is. Left a bit of a mess with churned up grass etc but the locals have calmed down now and are focusing on fireworks and, as above bloody bell ringing on Christmas eve....

We often get posts of skip divers who take things too far to the point they have taken things that are clearly not scrap (or even in a skip) like children's bikes, gazebos and ventured into gardens taking gates and bits of metal. We have a "famous" Romanian van which does the rounds but noone has been able to do anything about.
Then on the other hand we have people defending them because they are too lazy to take the bits to a recycling centre themselves so are happy to leave junk outside attracting more vermin!
The group also seems to have a real obsession for the police helicopter and anything that remotely sounds like a firework..
My local group has a fireworks obsession. They're going to love me in a couple of weeks Then on the other hand we have people defending them because they are too lazy to take the bits to a recycling centre themselves so are happy to leave junk outside attracting more vermin!

Presumably the churned up grass is still owned by her though so there chance this story will develop further? Please?

Very much hoping that as she owns everything under the grass (for which the council are responsible?) she turns up in a couple of weeks with a digger and a shipping container to build herself a subterranean lair.
I think thats probably more accurate. She's bought the 'subsoil' if the wording of the previous attempt to sell it is correct. There are several of these plots around the estate that remain unsold, so for a few hundred pounds each you could really have some fun over there.thetapeworm said:

So last week we had "please don't let off fireworks as Tiddles gets scared."
This week we have "on Xmas eve, everyone please ring bells for two minutes for the spirit of xmas."
That hit us on Saturday. This week we have "on Xmas eve, everyone please ring bells for two minutes for the spirit of xmas."
Apparently if you don't have bells you're allowed to go back to hitting pans with a spoon again.
Last weekend there was a complaint about landrovers off rd churning the the footpath up and mrs snowflake getting her shoes muddy and whining how “this cant be right” . Cue multiple posts pointing out its actually a byway (one of very few around here) and this was all perfectly legal and that a few metres to her left was a perfectly good footpath .
