Does anyone else organise their life with lists?
Discussion
I find lists very helpful. I've tried to use a few list apps, but never took to any, just notes for basic shopping lists, evernote for cross platform longer term stuff and calendar for something that needs a timely reminder like MoTs/insurance renewal. I never bothered with shopping lists when younger, as it would pretty much be 'beer, food' anyway. But now when my wife chips in during the day with the things I should pick up before going home, it's good to keep a list to not miss anything.
I have a paper list at work, not sure why I don't use an electronic list at work. It gets re-prioritised and rewritten every so often when a lot gets crossed off (I always date these when crossed off too), but it usually goes down in a satisfactory manner seeing things ticked off rather than deleted from an electronic list.

Without lists, my work life would be chaos - It's helping me realise that I'm overloaded and, more importantly, it gives me evidence that I can take to my manager and say "nope, I'm not doing anything else". OneNote is invaluable for this.
At home, I operate well with lists to make sure jobs and other things get done - I use it for doing a roast dinner too, working backwards from when I want to serve through to "cook veg, rest meat, peel/boil potatoes, put potatoes in to roast", etc.
There's some satisfaction in ticking things off a list - If it's things I absolutely have to do, I use OneNote...
