How much did that lot cost?I just had a look on the German amazon site (Our local one in Austria) and loads of packs on there and prices don't seem too bad, one that I seen was about 40 sweets for 15 euros.
A colleague was in Japan recently and brought us back some green tea kit kats that were pretty good, why don't we get all these flavours over here?

I'm struggling with the old translation there - what are the green goo domes encased in white?
They're green tea Mochi, trying those later tonight. Anybody else get the "oooh, I wonder what's coming" feeling only to be let down by what turns up?
Woke up this morning to an e-mail from Yodel saying "Your parcel from the wan chi magic dragon number 8 company is out for delivery and should be with you before tomorrow"...
Nipped out to enhance the element of surprise (i'm expecting some thermal probes for a BBQ project) only to find out it was a Solar powered motion triggered light my wife ordered on Amazon (that I requested when drunk a week ago).

I've been investing heavily in cheap tat. We bought my wife a RAV4, so I'm getting various accessories for it via aliexpress et al. Even some of the regular sites have obvious chinese knockoffs; sometimes it works out cheaper to get them through amazon than ali.
I've got a set of door scuff plates on order for $32 that appear to be a very close match to the Toyota originals (though NOT 100%) - compares to $150 rrp for the 'real' ones.
Various other bits like door edge strips, mudguards and side moldings for ~40% off, too.
Oh, and my 'Beware of Octupus' sign has turned up

I’ve been doing the wish.com thing (c/o you lot on this thread ) for a month now - What’s been bought....
¼” right angle socket drive thing
¼” drive small socket set
240V to 8 USB power points adaptor
12v to USB cigar lighter adaptor
10-inch profile gauge
3 digital multimeters for just over £10 - one for each car! They work fine.
Wrist torch – very useful
Selection of multimeter leads
Massive selection of electronics hardware - suitable for Arduino projects
Awaiting a silly t-shirt
Some other stuff I’ve forgotten about… I think I’ve spent £70 in total
It all works and is no worse than any of the above you would get on eBay – quelle surprise….

My 11/11 stuff is starting to come through.
The long sleeve cycling jersey was more grey and yellow than black and yellow, but the quality is not too bad.
Two of the three Lego substitutes are here, but they're for Christmas, so I'll know more then.
The drawing pads for the kids work fine too.

Oi! SistersofPercy! You appear to be a trend setter. Plus, we are owed an update on the butt-whatever-they-are-things.
You've all beaten me to it as my Octopus sign is still just ledged on a shelf in the downstairs loo.Bum things did turn up on Saturday. Just a pair of knickers with 2 round removable pads. They aren't bad actually, though I thought they looked obviously fake. Might stick them in my jeans and see if the other half notices, though very much doubt he will
Christmas party is now fancy dress on a Circus theme so I decided Fortune Teller was the way forward and ordered myself a crystal ball. It was cheap. About £1.80.
Note to self. Check sizes...
Two of my chinese speciality orders turned up last week.
3 Thermometer probes - all worked fine and were within a degree or two of each other when tested. Result, $18 instead of $100 for branded ones.
1 Thermocouple probe (2 came in a pack). One worked fine, one no response when tested. Thankfully build quality was 100% Chinese with braided wire that hadn't been stripped properly. Quick tidy up, tighten connections, screw back together - boom.
So far, so good.

out of interest, what were you using these for? 3 Thermometer probes - all worked fine and were within a degree or two of each other when tested. Result, $18 instead of $100 for branded ones.
