While the rest of you have been enjoying the free swimming, it slapped down another 3 cm or so overnight in Colorado. Surprisingly, the school district didn't declare an emergency and close, as they've been wont to do recently. Bored 4 year old disaster averted.

More snow due Wed evening.

This is more like Colorado; I've not seen my lawn in a month now as the snow has forced a perma pack.

Huge downpour and wind north of Bedford, out of the blue
We had that about half an hour ago in Northampton - absolutely belted it down
I got that in Hatfield, guess who’d just walked out of the office with a load of cardboard?

Down in Devon for half term. Mostly an indoors week irked

Although we did have a long enough dry spell to bbq some steak and sausages, before it absolutely belted down again.

Unsettled all week as low pressure passes to our north. Plenty more rain to come.

Waters have receded in West Berks - most roads open smile

Down in the New forest it still looks wet. Next to the A338 near Bournemouth it's wet, and either side of M27 near where it turns into the A31.

Hopefully all in the Severn valley are safe and sound too. Rivers are almost at peak level now. frown

I should say this unbelievable but sadly it's just par for the course these days.

Rubberneckers in Bewdley are not only getting in the way of evacuations and other work but have moved safety barriers so they can get a better view when the river tops the flood barriers.

Now looking as if may get away with it tonight. Touch and go tomorrow morning though.

Agreed!

Also saw the road into Ecchinswell from from the A339 is closed too. Flood related? Or boring works?

It's not even worthy of being called winter. It's a soggy autumn at best.

Better be a scorcher for summer after this turd.

I reckon the Severn and the Wye could go higher yet, still more rain forecast for later in the week.

Wye bridge in Monmouth (also not my photo). I drove from the Forest of Dean to Newport on Sunday morning and remarked that if the forecast is correct then the bridge and the A40 are going to be closed, which has obviously come to pass.

The building at the right of the picture is a fairly new and very expensive sports pavilion for the huge sports field that is under that water somewhere. The field was flooded a few weeks ago during another named storm but that pavilion stood defiantly on a little island of grass in the field. It's been engulfed with ease this time. Lots more rain to come apparently over the next couple of days.

Are you in Bewdley? You're very accurate smile

Yup, morons have decided to move closer to get a good look at their impending death...

Marginally beaten by the tts on Sunday who moved the barriers so they could park closer to the river... which then meant the lorry delivering flood barriers by our house couldn't get through......

Yep, nice one, dheads.

Haven’t seen my lawns since October lol . We’ve got a nice sunny week just a bit cold , minus 30c and windchills around -44 ,then plus 1 for Friday. Still prefer this to constant rain though , want free swimming build a pool !

We normally don't see anything green for two to three months, but the major snowfalls have been widely spaced, with some hot (22c!) spells in between. Lots of melting.

Storm Ciara blew a tree down which also knocked out some power lines. The electric company did a temporary bodge at the time to keep power going but closed the road this week to sort it out properly.
