Logged onto my CCTV system at work. Some of the cameras are giving much more detail of the ground than I usually see!

Bright now in Newcastle, but still rather windy.

3rd weekend on the trot we are blown out down here in Pompey. Can’t get anything done outside. Getting seriously pissed off with this now.
Same here in Dorset. Woke up last night with the sound of things being blown about (our neighbour's double gates blown open, wheelie bins knocked over etc.).

We lost yet another fence panel... a fence wrecking process which started with storm Ciara three weekends ago.

I have 8 new panels sat in the garage waiting to be slotted in to the concrete posts - just need a weekend where its not windy smile

Lovely morning in West Berks. Beginning to feel like spring. Greyed over later, and I'm aware conditions are awful up north.

Why not. Just some wind and rain.

Man up and get out there hehe
It doesn’t bother me being out there so much, although I prefer it stiller and a bit warmer when working with wet stuff.

Unfortunately the cleaning chemicals I need to use will be blown off the places they need to be and probably onto places where they are unwelcome or damaging. I will probably be blown off the ladder / boat etc for other stuff I want to do. So it is all engines stop I am afraid.

Will have to have a beer instead smile

Is that a hint at white stuff potential for some people?

Cool period next week. NI, Scotland, far north of England could easily see snow.

Further chances for rest of us later in week. No keen cold spell, but better than anything else.

BBC weather showing heavy snow for places like Carlisle and Glasgow during rush hour tomorrow.

Could be interesting...

It was meant to snow overnight, so you can imagine my disappointment to wake up to nothing.

Fortunately, about ten minutes ago it started, and it's collecting nicely.

Given the late start, I'd guess at only a couple of inches.

Worst 4 weeks of weather I've known here in 25 years.

Yesterday we had hail storms every 30 minutes, 70mph gales and sunshine at the same time!

Pic taken when I was just about able to stand...

And yet, just over the other side of the Cairngorms in North East Scotland it’s been completely unremarkable.

Bit breezy at times, but not a huge amount of rain. Amazing what a mountain range that isn’t even that high in global terms can do to stifle the Atlantic onslaught.

Ended up with about 3" of snow, but in true Colorado fashion, it's largely melted.

Highly optimistic IPhone weather app is saying 100% chance of snow for outskirts of Glasgow tomorrow.

If true then works getting a mileage expenses claim for me taking the Discovery over the C-max which isn’t very good in the snow.

It dumped nearly a foot up here overnight.
