Two more bellends having to be rescued by boat, rescue appliance and what have you after driving through road closed signs on Bewdley switchback. Jesus wept the road is only a few feet above water level in summer.

Meanwhile saw a message on local neighbourhood page, is the bridge at Bewdley open to my car? Madam, let me introduce you to Google and The News.

Mornings are bad here (NW Highlands), but it's a thaw by 11 a.m.

If you're coming up... follow the gritter!

Cycled to work. Snow was very wet and my kit choices were poor. Currently taking up all the hanging space trying to dry everything.

Turned to rain then stopped. Dont count that as winter as it didnt lay.

Sadly yesterday we were stuck at Cock Bridge and weren't allowed to follow the gritter despite winter tyres and AWD.

So we had to take a detour.

We weren't the only ones

This weekend's weather has been named storm Jorge by the Spanish Met. Pronounced Hor-hay for those that don't know.

Rain in places that don't want it Friday. Wind on Sat.

That’s cute. They named it after Ben Stiller’s secret son in Meet the Fockers..!

Quite something that three weekends on the bounce there's been three storms. Winter really needs to do one now.

From: https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/about-us/press-office...

Why is this storm not called Ellen?

The Spanish meteorological service, part of the south west Europe storm naming group, named Storm Jorge on Thursday (27th). It is convention for all other national meteorological services to then use that name when referring to the low pressure. As such the system will not be named Ellen but will align with our European partners and be referred to as 'Jorge'. The fact that the system may have a different name than some expected should not influence their response. The weather over the weekend could have impacts due to the strong winds and those in the warning areas should take the advice of local emergency services seriously.

Dog is sunning himself and drying out on the patio after a proper hosing down post winning the 2020 Filthy Bog Snorkelling championship, Creature from the Black Lagoon division. Git. Serve him right if it snowed.
