I'm certain that when I checked the forecast just a few days ago, it was meant to be dry all day here.
Even yesterday it looked ok.
Yep - last minute adjustments in the charts brought the low over the Channel, it was supposed to hit France. Yellow warning for South Coast counties.

Miserable lunch time dog walk - worst of the winter? I didn't even have my phone out, just hunkered down and walked!

Is March going to follow Feb and be the wettest one ever, this time for the 'Sarf? We are only a few days in but it doesn't look good!
Unsettled, although less so - and cooler for the short term.

Amazing that the met office spends millions on super computers and cannot even give an accurate forecast 24 hours ahead. Today's
lawn mowing jobs were interesting that I booked in yesterday.
Every weather forecast system got this wrong. Every single one.

Well, actually it's a road - quite a long way from the Kennet!

LOL. Nine days!

This far out there is more certainty of Sainsbury's having nine packs of bog roll back in stock.

It is going to lash it down this afternoon apparently, for a change.
We should be alright in Berkshire - worst of the rain north of us.

Weather down south has already improved mightily - but high pressure I mentioned before is inbound next week. Probably comes with a northerly wind, so cool crisp nights, cooler days in the breeze but feeling wonderful in the sun.

And UV helps inhibit nasty viruses...

I heard we're in for a scandi high next week. What does this mean for the UK?
Running round naked slapping fillies on the buttocks with sprigs of spruce.
It means you've got a fever and are delusional.

High pressure has arrived, as promised a while back. And as mentioned, a cold wind. Lovely in the sun, cool away from it. Cold nights.

What happens when high pressure drifts to our NW?

Next weekend looks really quite chilly. That will stop the hordes failing to maintain 2m.

I can't help wondering if our recent clear blue skies are due to the dramatic reduction in air travel.

But I'm loving it!
Nah it's due to high pressure.
High pressure brings the sunny sky - but it was proven during the Ash Cloud incident that the skies are more blue and less milky.

It's been gloriously sunny, with a cool breeze since Friday here in north Suffolk.

Apparently, this will continue for the foreseeable - bar showers on Saturday. So grateful there are miles of quiet footpaths right outside our door. So, social isolation doesn't mean being stuck indoors 24/7.
Apparently it will be fekin cold this weekend wink
