6-12 inches expected over night.

For those unused to the foibles of Colorado weather reporting, this actually means 0-3 feet.

We had about 6-10" up here, and got hammered in terms of crashes and slide offs.
Hope you're braced for Monday night then, sounds a bit nasty. Traded the Mazda6 for a RAV4 on Saturday; for the snow we get here, it'll do us fine.
I'm off until Wednesday but might come out to play Monday night for chain law enforcement overtime.

Expecting the first more proper dump on Friday, continuing into the weekend. Also comes with a bit of wind too.

Go shopping fella , our local weather guy up here was just mentioning the "weather bomb" heading your way , and quickly followed by "don't worry folks it's staying down there ". Thank fk for that , we're dealing with fluctuating temps so freezing rain/light snow are the order or the day here , everywhere is a bloody ice rink at the moment .

Have a good flight when you do end up going. Where are you going after you get into Denver?

Yep, got it done, and before everyone else went berserk and panic bought the entire store. It's only a couple of days....

I'm aware of the hypocrisy, but tuesday is the regular day and we were pretty much out of everything.

Also got the last of the paperwork done for the RAV4. Many would say it's a remarkably boring car, but I'm actually hugely impressed with it. Heated steering wheel ftw!

Sorry to hear that, and a little surprised; it's pretty much meant to be clearing at the time the usual uk flights are landing.
Still, there's more due Friday!

Have a good flight!

(you still don't need to get gloves, it'll only be -12c).

7" so far, with another heavy band of snow to come through; another 8 hours to go.

Cold spell is firming up. Not a lot of moisture on the cards, but some sharp frosts for sure.

General outlook for December remains cold.

I'd bet on a warm xmas if I was you.

Probably rained for 30 odd days straight here in the Channel islands, tomorrow we have a F8 westerly coupled with a 10m tide.

Up to about a foot. Driveway shoveled, waiting for the last of it to come down before finishing off.

We only had 3 or 4 inches up here. It looks like the storm gave us a miss - which makes a nice change!

Final tally is 14"-16.5" depending on which weather station you look at. "somewhere north of a foot" was mine.

Drove up to see the horses this morning , a good 4 inches or more there . Back in the valley still just ice and lots of it , bit of sun this afternoon which didn't make much difference . Walking down the drive or street and staying erect is a nightmare , such is life eh coolcool

Good news.

This perpetual warm wetness is getting tedious. This cold though, is it going to be a brief interlude with the warm coming back late Dec, or is a subtle point being missed ?
