Hope you are enjoying it. Let me know if you need any tourist information!
Thanks appreciate it - we're not far from the Shiden Valley, just need proper time to explore (we went right at the water works uphill, left towards the waterfall and downhill will be the next trek).I've been around the South Reading, Wokingham and River Loddon area today. Although nowhere near as bad as up North a week or two ago, many fields are lakes and I don't think it would take much for some flooding.
Downstream a little on the main Thames, Marlow and Hurley are on alert for flooding.
Downstream where I am in Maidenhead, we will be fine as we are protected by the Jubilee flood defence river. This either holds water back and Marlow, Hurley and Cookham / Bourne End flood or if they let the water go Old Windsor, Wraysbury flood. Not really that clever as the flood plains adjacent to Maidenhead were the first to naturally flood, now flooding happens where it didn't before.
