Now self medicating at home on paracetamol. Not fair, the man next to me in the recovery ward was on morphine.
What did you have done?

I'm going in for a triple bypass tomorrow (allegedly, its my 4th date), doubt if I will get home same day!

All the best Pug, when are you due home?

I've spent a lot of time in hospital in my lifetime, about three months in total when I add it all up. Having a pacemaker / defibrillator means that future stays are also guaranteed. It must have been major surgery to have a general, their favoured knock out juice these days seems to be conscious sedation with propofol aka "milk of amnesia" and the stuff that killed Michael Jackson.

A top tip; Make sure you chose meals with as much fibre in them as possible, surprisingly there is a lot of stodge on hospital menus.

Assuming you are in the Royal Berks and are not near a window, nothing really to report other than it has been raining, again.

Ooh, good luck. My dad had a quad bypass about 20 years ago. Still fit as a fiddle at 79!

I had a very large lipoma removed - at Royal Berks. I lost around 2 stone intentionally 2 years ago and basically earned myself a third boob. I don't have private cover at the moment so waited in the NHS system. Obvisouly cancer sufferers would constantly push me back in the queue (no issue with that!).

It was wrapped around my ribs and chest muscles, so apparently relatively tricky for the plastic surgeon.

Oh, and I got the only window in the ward. They must have known rofl

Don't believe the apps - especially when they're based on GFS. It has a massive Atlantic bias.

The UKMO and ECM models are more aligned with a high pressure outlook.

Best of luck with the recovery, Pugs.

I bloody hope it's dry soon. The rain is really grating now. It's consistently wet, and disgusting. Looks like the thread title worked this year!

Thanks, to be honest I feel so good I'm working from home today and getting some good work done! I suspect as I had plastic surgery it's less invasive.

I can't believe the woods up here - been living here for 4 years and walking the dog almost every day. I've never seen so much water.

I concur. Walking on the forest is challenging. It's basically a bog now.

This was from a couple of weeks ago. Everyone I worked with was in Vegas for reinvent but I was unable to go. We called him Jeff and sent photos to the AWS team.

21 years we've been in the vale of Southend, and jesus I can't remember such a spell of prolonged rain. Lots of very wet roads everywhere. Farmers are not having a good time of it either.

Live in Cannock Chase AONB. Been here over 15 years. Normally walk dogs out on the heathland or in the woods there twice a day and, for the last 10 years, have been riding MTB at least once a week. Never seen conditions this wet. The soil is sand and gravel bunter and normally pretty well drained, but even on the tops, it's sodden. the least bit of rain and there is standing water.

Topsy Turvey. It's been really dry up here in the NW Highlands for the past 4 months (a few weeks excepted). This reservoir is as low as I've ever seen it. That stick is usually upright!
