Parp!

Strong gusts of wind and peeing down too.

Wind seems to be getting stronger.

Cycled home from the station, very windy in spots and not pissing it down but enough rain to get you soaked.

A less fat fker probably would have struggled in the side winds.

Winds picking up in central Suffolk. My weather app suggests an inch of rain in the next 12-14 hours. That's on already sodden ground.

Gonna be floody!

What App are people using? I have the Met Office, its good but doesn't suggest rain quantity.

Frigid here today , and the rest of the week . So cold you can throw hot water into the air and it immediately turns to snow , sunshine though rolleyes

I use 'Weather & Radar' pretty good. (Not close to Puggit levels of detail though)

Still is.

I'm up out in the garage supervising some emergency repairs to my Sons car (popped in for a tea) and the main door is taking a battering from the wind and rain.

This is in the otherwise sheltered Thames Valley, must be mad need the coast(s) and on the hills.

Very wet and wild on the south coast. I have water coming in tonight, which only happens in very extreme circumstances (very heavy rain and strong sw wind) and hasn't like this for several years. I did think it was fixed, but hey ho!

Isle of Wight, right out in the western tip.

Blew like hell last night, 60 knots plus gusts, but to be honest, for where we are its not that unusual, tide surged to over 5mtrs which is up there.

But more than that, its so mild, 13 degrees yesterday afternoon.

The rain. More and more rain. So much water on the ground.

There were a few dodgy looking floods round the Mereoak Park and Ride this morning. Fortunately, you could just about see the top of the kerb on each side of the road, so could get through at a steady pace.

I saw a couple of hydrolocked cars in some of the larger flood round Kingsclere area, though

I normally absolutely boot it down there coming from the sneaky back exit of the services, or coming out of reading. hehe Not surprised it's like that though. There was water across the road on Common Hill heading to Bradfield from Theale last night. I would imagine it's a bit worse now.

Stoopid amount of rain last night and this am.

On the school run through T Wells and back just the five abandoned cars, plus bonus for avoiding the front bumper assembly floating in one of the bigger floods.

Could hear the metal patio furniture being rearranged through last night - must get it tuned and properly arranged to play some recognisable brass band stuff before the next storm. Or put it away out of harm...
