I remember her in Carry On Teacher as the school inspector the science teacher, Kenneth Connor, had the hots for.
I remeber in Carry On Nurse as the new student nurse. To her, observing the patient meant Edited by HighwayToHull on Sunday 20th December 18:23
sitting by the bed and watching him like a hawk.

Margaret Tebbit.
She spent the last 36 years of her life as a quadriplegic, following the Brighton bomb. For her it must feel like a merciful release but, for her elderly husband, a terrible loss.
Whatever one thinks of Norman Tebbit’s politics and personal views, one can only feel complete sympathy with the situation in which they found themselves

Yes indeed, what a brave lady she was, a devoted couple by all accounts. She spent the last 36 years of her life as a quadriplegic, following the Brighton bomb. For her it must feel like a merciful release but, for her elderly husband, a terrible loss.

Speaking of drummers, somehow I'd missed that Viola Smith finally pegged out a couple of months ago, five weeks short of 108 - and, on the subject of centenarian musicians, we also lost the pianist Eleanor Sokoloff at 106 back in July, but her French contemporary (born the same day!) Colette Maze is still tinkling the ivories at 106½, as is former York Minster organist Francis Jackson at 103.
