I have writtern them a strongly worded email - I fully expect cock all as an outcome, but here's hoping....
Even gave them a few timestamped photos and emails to corroborate the narrative

I don’t expect and answer as it would seem most of your customer services are now AI driven - but I hope if you are a human - you at least see my frustration and can action an amend to the account.

Haven't sold anything in a while and i always seemed to get bombarded with offers from ebay selling at fixed prices or something.
Having searched there seems to be something offer 80% off selling fees (think this includes final valuation fees?). Says offer ends Monday - do they always say this ? Is it likely to re-appear next week as well ? I use to get email offers but they seemed to have stopped......

I’ve sold thousands of items on eBay over the last two years and pretty much without any issues whatsoever. If you’re professional and sell quality items with good customer service it’s all pretty good to be honest.Never sell anything on ebay full stop.
Mine is a second business that generates enough profit a year for two or three very expensive holidays, it runs itself and all I do is make sure it all works.

The latest one I had was a business seller listing brake discs, without a photo. All the specs were as per the ones I needed, so I clicked Buy It Now. Then I received a message from the seller asking my registration, which I duly sent. Then I received a reply saying they weren't the right ones for my car and that I should send an extra £20 by bank transfer to the account number he provided.
Firstly, this would have made the discs dearer than others I could have bought, and secondly that extra £20 wouldn't have been covered by any Ebay protection, so I asked him to cancel the sale. The seller refunded me, but said that was so I could buy the discs on his revised listing, which I didn't.
The other one recently, although not to get around fees, but a mis discribed item, was when buying a new 45AH car battery (as described in the listing title). When I received it, it quite clearly said 35AH on the side, so I queried this with the seller. This was his response:
"Dear Glider Rider,
Unit supplied 100% CORRECT
Many thanks for your purchase, most appreciated, we are always here and happy to help.
I can confirm the battery supplied is the Flagship Brand HELDEN.
In line with industry standards, both AH measurements are displayed.
The C100 measurement 45ah, and the C20 measurement 35ah.
I hope this helps to explain and solve any confusion.

Having a read of the description, it actually includes this further down the blurb: "SPECIFACATION 35AH(C20) 40AH(C100) 360CCA 12 VOLTS" (sic), so 45AH doesn't even get a mention except in the title and his reply to my query!

I usually get seller offers on buy it now items that I put in my watch list after a day or so.
On a different point one thing I did notice the other day when I put in a highish early bid on an item, was a notification that I had been outbid about 2 minutes before it ended followed almost immediately by another notification that the bid had been retracted. I assume this is a way to find out how high someone is prepared to go to as I usually do one bid with my max and then leave it.
I didn't win it anyway as a different bidder went higher in the last 5 seconds.

I was buying something off eBay and matey had written his number down, I googled that and uncovered he was a trader , not a problem just interesting
I have a sneaky feeling if you end an eBay auction early, they sometimes check the listing out then potentially sting you the final value fees.
