Bergs best bet is to ring them. They are actually usually pretty good on the phone and will explain things and if they can they will sort it.
If you have had your account for 2 weeks and 0 feedback don't expect much though.... but IME if you have an account with trading history they will usually do something.
Thanks man - as usual the challange seems to be where the fk is the phone number??? If you have had your account for 2 weeks and 0 feedback don't expect much though.... but IME if you have an account with trading history they will usually do something.
I have writtern them a strongly worded email - I fully expect cock all as an outcome, but here's hoping....
Even gave them a few timestamped photos and emails to corroborate the narrative
God, I'm sad.....

Item 125978280749
I must object most strongly to having been billed for the non-sale of this item.
Having listed it and paid a £3.49 promoted item charge - this takes the cost for having this item listed to Almost £60 - and I have realised no value or sale
The item was listed on the 16th June, as I had taken it out of storage wanted to get it listed as early as possible, as this is the time of year here in the UK that the weather is heating up an relevance of a swimming pool heater will be effectively at it’s strongest.
When I tested it - it was shown not to be working.
I decided to end the listing on this basis, and communicated to the bidders who had contacted me, that I had the intention of re-listing the item when I have got the replacement part for the items (the motor)
However, having been charged a total thus far of almost £60 to NOT HAVE SOLD THE ITEM - I can’t say the the prospect of paying another £60 is particularly edifying.
I an a private seller - not a business - and have been selling occasional, but mostly buying, on eBay for the last 20 years.
This is the latest in a line of faceless charges that if not reversed, I’m afraid I will just close my account.
I don’t expect and answer as it would seem most of your customer services are now AI driven - but I hope if you are a human - you at least see my frustration and can action an amend to the account.
I’ve attached a couple of photos - to corroborate the above information.
I have not sold this item outside of eBay - (which is I understand the charging of non-sale clause is designed to capture)

Haven't sold anything in a while and i always seemed to get bombarded with offers from ebay selling at fixed prices or something.
Having searched there seems to be something offer 80% off selling fees (think this includes final valuation fees?). Says offer ends Monday - do they always say this ? Is it likely to re-appear next week as well ? I use to get email offers but they seemed to have stopped......

The 80% off fees happens pretty much every other week for me, it applies to listings from friday through to the next monday.Having searched there seems to be something offer 80% off selling fees (think this includes final valuation fees?). I was charged £250 by ebay for selling a watch I never sold (I actually still have it and have sent dated photos!), all because the bloke who wanted to see it sent me a message and didn't click on Buy it know - which apparently he should've and I should've cancelled if it hadn't sold!
I will never sell from ebay again - they are robbing s who don't follow UK trading standards law.
I tried to buy something from Fleabay, the guy claimed i didn't include my address and cancelled the sale. I will never sell from ebay again - they are robbing s who don't follow UK trading standards law.
I asked for money back
He went silent
After 6 attempts to get money back, i contacted them to raise a dispute.
They sided with the seller and said they could do nothing about it.
I swore then, and still keep to this, that i would never spend another penny with them

Never sell anything on ebay.
Never sell anything on ebay full stop.
I’ve sold thousands of items on eBay over the last two years and pretty much without any issues whatsoever. If you’re professional and sell quality items with good customer service it’s all pretty good to be honest.Never sell anything on ebay full stop.
Mine is a second business that generates enough profit a year for two or three very expensive holidays, it runs itself and all I do is make sure it all works.

Ebay is brilliant....with the 80% fee discount weekends.Never sell anything on ebay full stop.
So much better than Gumtree or Facebook marketplace.
Everything sells for a higher price on eBay and you don't have to deal with as many morons, numpties and time wasters
The latest one I had was a business seller listing brake discs, without a photo. All the specs were as per the ones I needed, so I clicked Buy It Now. Then I received a message from the seller asking my registration, which I duly sent. Then I received a reply saying they weren't the right ones for my car and that I should send an extra £20 by bank transfer to the account number he provided.
Firstly, this would have made the discs dearer than others I could have bought, and secondly that extra £20 wouldn't have been covered by any Ebay protection, so I asked him to cancel the sale. The seller refunded me, but said that was so I could buy the discs on his revised listing, which I didn't.
The other one recently, although not to get around fees, but a mis discribed item, was when buying a new 45AH car battery (as described in the listing title). When I received it, it quite clearly said 35AH on the side, so I queried this with the seller. This was his response:
"Dear Glider Rider,
Unit supplied 100% CORRECT
Many thanks for your purchase, most appreciated, we are always here and happy to help.
I can confirm the battery supplied is the Flagship Brand HELDEN.
In line with industry standards, both AH measurements are displayed.
The C100 measurement 45ah, and the C20 measurement 35ah.
I hope this helps to explain and solve any confusion.
Kindest Regards
xxxxxxxx"
As I had already put it in the car, I didn't bother pursuing it, but I did feel they were playing fast and loose, so I won't ever use them again. Having a read of the description, it actually includes this further down the blurb: "SPECIFACATION 35AH(C20) 40AH(C100) 360CCA 12 VOLTS" (sic), so 45AH doesn't even get a mention except in the title and his reply to my query!

I usually get seller offers on buy it now items that I put in my watch list after a day or so.
On a different point one thing I did notice the other day when I put in a highish early bid on an item, was a notification that I had been outbid about 2 minutes before it ended followed almost immediately by another notification that the bid had been retracted. I assume this is a way to find out how high someone is prepared to go to as I usually do one bid with my max and then leave it.
I didn't win it anyway as a different bidder went higher in the last 5 seconds.

No ones mentioning, sticking your mobile no. on a bit of paper and putting it on the item, in one of your photos
Has worked well for me!
Type your mobile number into google images, see if your eBay ad comes up Has worked well for me!
I was buying something off eBay and matey had written his number down, I googled that and uncovered he was a trader , not a problem just interesting
I have a sneaky feeling if you end an eBay auction early, they sometimes check the listing out then potentially sting you the final value fees.
I’m sure this happened to a friend
