I live in a converted bungalow which means that what was a single bedroom downstairs is now my office/man cave. In turn it is full of the most nerdy things I could possibly find.
I have a fine collection of Lego (mostly Star Wars) and various other film memorabilia. I managed to acquire a 1m tall talking Darth Vader, quite pleased with my Stormtroopers as well....
At some point next year the entire room will be redone, new cabinets along with a TV/Xbox set up as well.

Ignore the smart-mouth PH serial w***ers, nice bike, a man-cave can occupy any space that you feel at home in.
Quite so, and I do. Well said and yes why not be any space you live in. The star wars collection is tops, nice one Alex !Edited by petrolpat on Friday 13th December 01:22

Builders are starting on my garage conversiohttps://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/post.asp?h=0&f=210&t=1844994&r=41142805&m=quoteOne#faceboxMastern on 6th January. So far my man cave ideas are pretty standard. I have Hi-Fi, sofa, pool table, dart board, big TV and beer fridge. I think I need some big Neon signs in the outline of a stripper or something to add that touch of class.
converting your garage?? I've got a collection of F1 helmets, Guy Martin helmets
Prized possession is a 1989 Ayrton Senna full size helmet along with Jenson Button Pink for papa helmet.
Also have about 15 other half scale helmets, some signed and unsigned.
Also got a KTM 250 2 stroke 6 days (road legal) that lives in there

Real men can hold it or piss on the neighbour's Leylandii
That is bad for your prostate, not sure of any negatives to having a slash on some leylandii though.heisthegaffer said:

It is a bit creepy and in my mind is code for "wking den". Far better to have a garage where you can polish your actual tools and not hide from the Wife in your own house! What do you "real" men who have a "real" man cave ie log cabin.... have to heat them?
So far ive tried an oil filled radiator which has been ok, an electric convector heater and possibly looking at a FAR Infared Panel heater.
Whats the most efficient and cost effective solution you've found?

I'd pour a gallon of petrol on and in it and set it alight and bask in the warmth of the flames. I'd then build a garage where it once stood with a urinal on the wall next to the massive array of tool boxes. So far ive tried an oil filled radiator which has been ok, an electric convector heater and possibly looking at a FAR Infared Panel heater.

I use a 2KW fan heater. Don't forget to turn it OFF though ! So far ive tried an oil filled radiator which has been ok, an electric convector heater and possibly looking at a FAR Infared Panel heater.

Amazing story, but building a garage in a garden is probably bordering on stupidity when I have a more than adequate log cabin present.
Many Thanks though for the unbelievable advice
It is not adequate though because it is too cold. I'd still burn it down though and as a compromise maybe just build a short wall with a urinal on it in the garden? Many Thanks though for the unbelievable advice
