hehe Bloody JP233's, sod that for a game of darts.

I'd more than likely have been sitting on an oil drum in the hangar smoking a ciggie smokin

As for the pic of the fella having a nap, most certainly not grumpy

I never wore clunking great boots like those.

yes I've got a bookful:

Something I picked up earlier this week*, some interesting stuff in it.

For instance, I nevver knew that the RAF operated B-29s from 1950 to 1956
They were named "Washingtons".
Do you have any specific era of interest?

* A book. Not what you were thinking. Smutty lot. rolleyes

Eagle eye strikes again. We’re you a spotter in the RAF? Blinky McBifocal needs to be retired he’s still in the ditch from that Aldi job last year.

Worked offshore In the southern sector in the eighties when the Lightning’s were deployed from Coltishall, the sonic booms from there sorties over the SNS would shut the installations in setting off all the platform alarms... bloody awesome biggrin my BIL was a jaguar pilot and flew out of Coltishall when the Jags replaced the Lightning’s.....

Blinky was last heard of bawling into the radio from the Aisle Of Dreams, unfortunately with his stammer we completely misunderstood ‘you cccccant fire now’

Been on a hillside when Jaguars came screaming round at low level. Quite the sight especially in low light.

Fastest rate of climb ever IIRC. The Lightning, not Bomma, Robbo or Bobbers. Although Bobbers is fairly light on his feet.

I believe the record is still held by a Junior Tech after I told him "Fiery Jack" was a good remedy for a sexually transmitted infection he'd picked up.

Apparently the screaming could be heard as far away as Marham village, which was all the more astonishing given we were in Laarbruch at the time smile
