It's a good suggestion, however I'm confident Matron will already have some, if not then Dr Gleadle will!!!

If crab is on the menu tonight at the Towers I'll eat in the pub.

Crab chowder with lice powder? With coriander? Sorry, there's a steak and ale pie with my name on it in the Tap Room of The Adulterer & Rolling Pin.

Ha! You don't know where my blood's been, Dibble.
And I'm willing to bet yours is not entirely your own. smile

I have given lots of mine away for free during my regular visits to the Blood Donor Vampire People.

Well, not exactly for free: cups of tea and custard creams were quite an incentive for each armful. smile

Now there's a place I've not visited for a good while.

I wonder if the woman with one eye and tattoos still runs it? Bertha, I think her name was.

I've tried to go and give blood a couple of times, unfortunately I had to pull out both times due to being a complete wuss where needles are concerned. The second time I got so worked up I made myself sick! frown

I've given quite a bit of blood - but both serious times no one had a receptacle.

There are a couple of French fields that will be forever Pushfit

Yep, I think she was named Bertha. Rather stubbly chin and big hands.
I believe she was originally Bertrand before the op.
Lovely personality, but wouldn't stand for any of that nonsense in her pub
.
Round the back though, well that was a different matter entirely.

Breaded haddock fillet for Glenrobbo this evening, with leeks mornay and spicy wedges. YUM!

If you were in the one I'm thinking of you'd have given blood whether you wanted to or not.

It's okay, I bled on the compost heap. Waste not, want not.

It occurs to me if there anything surreptitious needing doing I should do it soonish. My fingerprints will be all up the pictures and we could deny everything. So if there's anything shady where a left index finger is required, I'm your man.

Right Trivton, get your Lordship arse over here sah.
What do you think you're doing bleeding all over my bleedin parade ground Trivton? you might be some sort of Trivial Master back in Lower Trivton but here you are just another member of Trivborough Regiment.
Now drop and give me something Trivial.

On my way to Harrogate. The Castle pub beckons for a couple of nights but well knackered from a 5am start and still 3 hours to get there.

I can still hear her war cry now. "Oh aye, fancy thy chance do ya? Think ya could tek me up ginnel do ya?"

I doubt any of us would have lasted more than a minute or two.
