Are you sure 101 isn't written one hundred and one in English speaking countries outside the UK other than the USA?
The 'fact' was told by an American friend, so no, I can't be 100%.In the 1970 film 'The Man Who Haunted Himself' Roger Moore's character crashes his Rover P5B Saloon on the M4, the following year the film's director Basil Dearden died when he crashed his Rover P5B Saloon on the same stretch of the M4.
In 1969 Joanna Lumley auditioned for a part in Gerry Anderson's 'UFO' but the part went to Gabrielle Drake, in 1976 Drake auditioned for the part of Purdey in 'The New Avengers' but the role went to Lumley.

Oliver Hardy never said “That’s another fine mess you’ve got me in to”
Actually he DID say that - he didn't say “That’s another fine mess you’ve gotten US in to” (http://www.stanlaurelandoliverhardy.com/nicemess.htm)irocfan said:

Dont think we need an excuse to show a picture of Miss Drake in a serious role, Gabby, of course, famous sister to Charlie Drake.Fermit and Sexy Sarah said:
Unless you live in the United Kingdom where it's proper to write 101 as one hundred and one, there is no number from 1 to 999 that includes the letter "a" in its word form. One, two, three, four, five, six… twenty, thirty, forty, fifty, sixty. You can keep going, but you won't find the first letter of the alphabet until you hit one thousAnd.
QuatreWhen we moved to NZ a number of people in the UK remarked that we were now closer to Japan - yet when I checked the distance between the UK and Japan and between Japan and NZ is the same to within a few hundred miles. Japan and NZ are closer when it comes to time zones.
Also: Japan and NZ are the same distance from the equator (but on opposite sides).
And they suffer from frequent earthquakes.
But you could hardly find two more different cultures.
