I'm not saying we should be wearing masks to protect ourselves...I'm just suggesting that a little context goes a long way in working out what our priorities should be...
...e.g. the FIL has been diagnosed w/cancer and he's waiting to find out how long he has to wait for an op...if all the "I'm alright Jack, Covid's gone" idiots had been a little more considerate* and not let Omicron run riot, it appears his wait would be rather shorter...

The meme doesn't capture the message, though, does it - the message is protect yourself from death or serious illness, & reduce the risk of hospitalisation to reduce stress on the health care system. It's not a binary choice of death or not death.
