^this, cases don't matter if number ending up in hospital are manageable.
When we open up cases will inevitably rise. If you look at the previous times the young get it first then it spreads through the age groups. But when the young get it very few end up in hospital it's just not a problem.
It only gets bad when it hit the 50+ groups once these have been vaccine it will no longer be a problem.
We can then just forget about cases, it's here to stay it will be circulating in society. Everyone will get it every now and then getting a natural booster jab.
I agree but so many people are still terrified. Mrs BC and I walk on lanes and footpaths and come across people miles from anywhere wearing masks and making a point of passing at least 15 feet or more away from us. Others are too scared to leave home at all. When we open up cases will inevitably rise. If you look at the previous times the young get it first then it spreads through the age groups. Project fear has succeeded.

Hilarious. Project fear has succeeded.
Business as usual in London. Apart from the shops of course. Parks and such as busy as a summers day last week.

They're still jumping off the pavement or diving into driveways around here.
Not quite as bad as that around here. However, had to visit the local Co-Op earlier to get some milk and there I was in a queue of 5 outside which was 30-odd feet long because "One person out, one person in" policy. The three women in front, all in their 20's I'd say, were all masked up. All the time in that b@stard light but persistent rain. I'm fking sick to death of all this masking / distancing / frightened of shadows st now.

It's weird with the co-op. We've got about 4 within a 2 mile radius where I live. Most of them seem to just be a relative free for all, but the one in the posher village down the road is 1 in 1 out. Certainly nobody leaping into the bushes or running away from dogs like in the first lockdown when out walking in the fields.
I think even the most gullible are not falling for it anymore.

Our local Waitrose has a person on the door with spare masks for those who have 'forgotten' them or 'left it in the car'. No one escapes. 100% masking. Shop with confidence in the quinoa aisle.
You just say that you’re exempt and they’ll let you in without a mask/muzzle.Carrot said:

.
I wish they would. Last time out it seemed that no one was socially distancing, just walking as close to other people as they like. I haven't spent a year avoiding people to catch the bloody thing just as I am due to get my jab..

You sound like a victim of project fear, you’re so unlikely to catch Covid outside it’s ridiculous. How many infections from the crowded beaches at Bournemouth and other places last summer?bad company said:

But then maybe I just like manners.
