When will we be able to go to the pub again?

Don't know what's so funny. 137 people died yesterday because of Covid. The gathering of people is only going to increase and accelerate the number back up again.
137 people died with Covid, a subtle but important difference. Also, it’s not going away. Which is why we are seeing a return to normal life.
Feel free to hide away, but don’t judge others for pursuing a normal life.
Its pretty sad state of affairs when going to your local spoons is returning life back to normal at 9am
My local generally fills up around 1pm for lunch, followed by a few drinks and an early evening BBQ.

It takes one person. It's not like it goes "well I've spread to 2 other people today, that'll do".
Yes thanks for that. It’s more that the odds of any of those people in Southsea having it and therefore being able to transmit it are vanishingly small. It can’t be spread if it’s not present in a population to start with.I was surprised to hear that only approx 50% of pubs opened back up today.
A lot of Covid rage/argument is down to age difference, 0.5% of 30 yrs and under of that age are effected by it so they don't give a toss, they don't need to. The older and higher risk or infirm need to be more wary.
Don't mention anything to me about protecting anything other than yourselves because no-one gives a toss, especially the younger generation.

It’s like a pissing contest on here.
Look at me, I’m so hard, I went to the pub. Anyone who didn’t is a wimp. Anyone who think Covid is a real issue is a wimp too. It’s almost like not going to the pub is the new version of being a Leftie, or a Remainer.
It’s actually a reasonable representation of society:Look at me, I’m so hard, I went to the pub. Anyone who didn’t is a wimp. Anyone who think Covid is a real issue is a wimp too. It’s almost like not going to the pub is the new version of being a Leftie, or a Remainer.
-those who would have been in the pubs all along covid be damned and who think anyone taking any measure to protect themselves is a fool for buying into the fear/hoax after all it’s just the flu etc etc
-those like me who are happy to go to the pub now because it’s safer than it’s been since probably early feb when we were all going about our business without any mitigation whatsoever and who aren’t at any real risk/putting any relatives at risk
-those who have weighed up the risks and for sensible reasons don’t think they should venture back to such an environment just yet in order to protect themselves/loved ones
-those who are scared of their own shadows and whose fear of this virus is totally out of whack with the risk it presents and who are ready to call anyone who isn’t covered in masks, visors and gloves and jumping into traffic to avoid coming within 2m of other people a selfish fool

No, that's just your perception. Sorry. Look at me, I’m so hard, I went to the pub. Anyone who didn’t is a wimp. Anyone who think Covid is a real issue is a wimp too. It’s almost like not going to the pub is the new version of being a Leftie, or a Remainer.

Not in Southsea it isn’t. Coronavirus is as rare as rocking horse st in Hampshire so don’t worry.CooperS said:

No that’s wrong, 137 people died yesterday WITH Covid. Most would have died anyway.Do you think we should all hibernate forever? I spoke with a neighbour last week who thinks exactly that . When I asked him what’d happen when the economy collapsed with no money to pay for the NHS or his pension he had no answer.
