When will we be able to go to the pub again?

I fear Bacon is Proof is mixing ‘gas’ beers with hand drawn beers. Very different things.
Real ale comes in to the cellar, you rack it for at least 24 hours, then it can just sit there until you tap it. Once it's tapped you've got two to three days for it to be at its best. Some beer a little longer.

This is what I was meaning.

Get a couple of nice hand pulled ales on tap in your home bar, but unless you and your mates will get through the keg in 3 days, it will be wasted.

This is why I like pubs. Hand pulled ales kept properly.

My friend has a micro pub specialising in real ales, In the lockdowns he delivers 3/7/9 pint bags to order freshly pulled.

All properly conditioned..

Worth checking local Facebook pages to see if you have anyone offering the same service.

That is a great idea.

My favourite local real ale producer does mini kegs that contain just under 9 pints, which are really good if you have a couple of friends round.

That has all the kerb appeal of a pavement pizza. hurl

Also is that a massive rat down the side?

It's a (the?) British expat bar in Bankok - and I believe I may have been wobbly in there a couple of times previously. Kerb appeal is not really that important... beer

I recall I played pool against Stephen Hendry upstairs in that bar.
I lost.

What’s the date we can go for a pint inside a pub with a mate? Is it May 17th or June 21st?

2 unexplained cases today (not directly linked to an existing cluster) they put an announcement out this afternoon that while they figure out where they came from people should stay at home.

Not a legal requirement but nearly everywhere has closed until an update from government tomorrow.

They'll bring forward opening everything up and declare it all fine and dandy just before the local elections.
