I wish they would. Last time out it seemed that no one was socially distancing, just walking as close to other people as they like. I haven't spent a year avoiding people to catch the bloody thing just as I am due to get my jab.
You sound like a victim of project fear, you’re so unlikely to catch Covid outside it’s ridiculous. How many infections from the crowded beaches at Bournemouth and other places last summer?
I don't know as I am not a medical professional and was not able to check everyone after the events.

project fear or not I quite like the idea of people actually looking where they are going and avoiding walking into other people. But then maybe I just like manners.
My point is that there were no infection spikes after the crowds on the beaches, protests in London or thugs toppling statues.

If people are walking into you I agree, everyone should have good manners.

I'm hearing a lot of pensioners around here have decided that after the jab none of the restrictions apply to them anymore, the very same people that were calling everyone all the names under the sun for not sticking 100% to guidelines for the past year.

Our local Waitrose has a person on the door with spare masks for those who have 'forgotten' them or 'left it in the car'. No one escapes. 100% masking. Shop with confidence in the quinoa aisle.
You just say that you’re exempt and they’ll let you in without a mask/muzzle.
UK must be one of the unhealthiest countries, all these sick people needing exemptions from wearing a paper mask on their face while they pop in a shop for 10 minutes.

I've not seen one single person, ever, inside a supermarket without a face mask on here since it became mandatory.

Really? I've not been into a supermarket since all of this started, but I'd assumed that there would be a good number of people with both genuine and non-genuine exemptions not wearing them. Whereabouts are you seeing none at all?

It's also worth noting that anxiety is a genuine reason for an exemption and you can see from the responses on here just how anxious and upset just seeing a mask in use makes a lot of people.

I haven't either. Which is surprising, I would've expected to have seen at least a few with an exemption, but not one.

Most people wear a mask inside a supermarket that I see.

I would too when you see the fking state of the people you find in supermarkets in the UK.

There was a family of crusties in the supermarket a couple of months ago. Neither of the adults was wearing a mask, but the bloke was walking around the supermarket taking massive bites out of a whole cucumber that he'd picked up.

Rather than anxiety, I suspect he was just a rude, ignorant tt.

Not so bad round here, seen the odd single person in a car wearing a mask (for years to come they will be trying to figure that one out scientifically...).
I don't know what is so difficult to understand!? Have you ever heard about auto-inflammation and other auto-immune deseases? There is also auto-infection, especially when in an automobile.

We are currently looking at 15th March...... I doubt it will happen if the bordering countries of Belgium, France and Germany have later dates, so as to slow people coming across the borders to eat, drink and be merry in Luxembourg!

I mean, hairdressers in Wasserbillig have had clients driving from Munich, 250 odd miles, FFS, so for beer and food, anything is possible!!
Luxembourg PM and Health Minister held a Press Conference today.
Now looking at 2nd April .... For the moment. frown

You wear a mask to protect others, not yourself, so the science tells us adamantly and constantly on the news.

If you are in a car, on your own, who are you protecting?

I gave it 112%. Nothing is too good for our Lord and saviour.

I was going to worship in the local hospital car park but with all the confusion on reasonable excuses right now I decided to stay home and save lives.

As a previous regular pub goer, I'm completely unexcited about the pubs opening. Let's face it, what with the sitting outside in zero centigrade, along with having to book and all the other silly restrictions and rules, I just can't be arsed anymore. No fun left to be had. Also I can imagine the first few weeks just being full of knobheads anyway. And that's before the inevitable government backtracking where they close everything down yet again. I have lost every bit of enthusiasm I once had for it.
