What ho chaps!! wavey
I have paused for luncheon, homemade bread turned into a cheese, ham and coleslaw sarnie!!!

I didn't have you down as a Goth Scrump, maybe a bit of Matallicker or Gurns and Posies, but not Goth!!

I'm as surprised as you are White Stiletto, does keep me amused though!!!

I'm surprised you even mentioned your special rubber sheet glenrobbo, I thought it was one of those common knowledge secrets!!!

LOVE the Scrump The Merciless picture on Scrump's thread Dicky!!!

I think I know that crater you mentioned Bomma old chap, last I saw it had filled with water and a couple of ducks had taken up residence!!!!

"I AM SCRUMP THE MERCILESS, EMPEROR OF THE UNIVERSE."

"Oh, hello. I'm Dicky, OP of the Trivial Thread. You know. On Earth, like."

Pathetic earthlings. Hurling your bodies out into the void, without the slightest inkling of who or what is out here. If you had known anything about the true nature of the universe, anything at all, you would've hidden from it in terror.

But it got me wondering:

Should he really be wearing a collar and tie, or should he be in a boiler suit?
Or a stovepipe hat and nipple tassels? bowtie
Not sure about Engineers in their 70's but definitely the latter for those of us in our 40's, well the hat part anyway.

We know how to protect ourselves, thanks. Almost every house in the world has something like this to shield us from the worst the universe can throw at us.

We've survived Dr Who, Quatermass, the Clangers, all sorts.

Strange coincidence, I have recently helping my nephew build a model Morrison shelter

(This a real shelter, not my nephew’s model!)

Of course, if you went to Waitrose you could avoid all this unpleasantness.

Morrisons! I ask you. You'll be saying you need protection from Aldi or Lidl next.

Oh, I've been about a bit.

I've even been to Whitby on a Goth Weekend.

I think that's where Bomma got his stovepipe hat and goggles.

New evidence is emerging regarding the provenance of Bomma's hat.

I've finished for the day, all emulsioning done on hall, stairs and landing, ceiling's and walls done!!! Start glossing it all tomorrow!!

I got a bit scared and may have had a little accident when Scrump came over all Minge the Merciless then, but as pointed out by our illustrious leader I sought solace behind the sofa!!!! yes

For a lot of readers it was either a direct hit or it missed by a trillion miles.

We have to take these risks occasionally.

Something for the weekend Sir Glen?

It's a lovely little car to be fair to it,and if you remember I got it for a song. Still not done 29,000 miles. On a 21 year old car!

I've managed to hook a safety strap for Mavis in the car,so she can come along with us on her mums lap.
