This evening's meal was a portion of pineapple rice left over from a take away a week ago. Apparently eating old rice is a high risk activity but I am still alive and it was almost 30 minutes ago.

Great news Trivialites!

Pushfit has responded to my fervent prodding and has stated that he is as well as can be expected, albeit located at time of transmission in Sodding Chipbury or some such godforsaken rural idyll.
He told me to tell you all not to worry, but please could you all PM him your daily menus so he can keep up to speed regarding your dietary proclivities. He then started to report on his bowel movements but was suddenly cut off. Obviously the rural Internet is not sufficiently robust to withstand such an onslaught.

Fingers crossed his rodding was successful...
Oh, I thought he was in lower Dicker, or was it Cocking?

/ Glances down at wristwatch...

Gives it a shake and looks at it again.

Holds it up to ear to listen for any ticking...

Nothing. frown

Anyone ever looked up why you don't reheat old rice? It's like a Quatermass Experiment. Don't do it.

Rise and shine
The morning's fine
The donkey's dead
And the cat's
Pissed all over the strawberries

Found this yesterday.

Thought I’d chucked it out twenty years ago, it was a real surprise.

It’s a little Grundig Yacht Boy.

Bought it in the early nineties, it’s been to the genocide in Rwanda, the Bosnian war, the USA with me.

Batteries were furred up so I charged up some Duracell’s I also found up there and it works. biggrin

I had to clean up the battery compartment as the old ones were still in, used vinegar mixed with three parts water.

Only thing is the on off switch doesn’t work! frown

I’ll have a look when I’ve finished in the loft.

This is a former car dealership in Chester.

It has no relevance to anything.

I never realised you were in the resistance. Those airmen must be very grateful for your help.

BroadBoy to DannySword.
BroadBoy calling DannySword. Do you read me? Over...

Good morning everyone. wavey

I had a somewhat troubled night, thoughts of a terrible death by ingesting reheated rice kept popping into my head:

I imagined myself as a horribly contorted corpse with a hideous rictus grin caused by the agonies of the most painful death imaginable after consuming rice crispies with hot milk...
I can just imagine my bones snapping, crackling and popping as I writhed about in my death throes.

What a damned awful way to go! yikes

On a more cheerful note, it's raining.
That's cheap Channel 4 weather forecasters for you. rolleyes

But they say it WILL brighten up for the weekend.
Can they be trusted? Obviously not.

Damn this phoney war.
