Nice! My goldfish tank is an Aqua oak. 160l large cube.
The way to think of it is you're keeping water. The fish /plants just so happen to live in the water you keep.
I strongly recommend the fluval fx4 filter. Many will say it's complete overkill for a tank this size - but there's no downside to overfiltration in tropical tanks. The other huge win is it's got an awesome way of doing water changes - makes life so much easier, which means you'll do it more often.
You can now cycle and start stocking within a week comfortably using the new magic bacteria bottles. I'm also a huge fan of the tropical 123 grow plants - they're tissue cultured in effectively lab conditions, so zero pests and really healthy.

Weirdly I just bought an Erbauer kit today, 18v drill and impact driver, 2 2aH batteries, charger and a pretty solid case and a free £50 bluetooth speaker/powerbank that uses the same batteries. Not bad for 150.It's a beast...

Bought it to put a blind up in my daughters room after I got royally pissed off with my old cheapy cordless that just couldnt drill into the brickwork, my house has the hardest bricks I have ever seen and it just wasnt man enough for the job, the erbauer drill did it with ease.

Was working with 2x4 softwood and it absolutely smashed the screws in... for casual DIY definitely over specced. Came with the case for the drill driver which is currently empty, so I think I need to fill that.
Dead jealous of the multi tool. Had loads of reasons to use one recently.

Really ? We use ours daily for editing on the IPad Pro, to edit all the drone footage we have with Lumafusion.To be honest, I would think Lumafusion would be really hard to use for fine edits just with finger touch, as there are some many areas of the screen that have drop downs and sub menus.
I think that’s true of a lot of the higher end paid for apps, it’s not that an Apple Pencil,is a must, it just makes your life a lot easier.

The tank cost £100. I've already totted up the equipment/rocks/sand needed to even get ready for water coming to three times that.
That's without water, salt, corals, fish.

I have the same tank. Paid £160 with live rock and a pair of clowns. Bought it 6 months ago. So far I've spent £1200 inc the original tank cost. It's an expensive time consuming hobby, but very enjoyable.Fortunately, I've got a room I can convert into a dedicated office - so I thought it would be absolutely essential I had a boredom killer.

The flow is pretty poor with the standard pump, particularly for corals. Either a wavemaker or upgraded pump makes a massive difference.

I've ordered an upgraded dc pump, random flow generator, and media basket for the first chamber. Just about to head out to pick up rock and a few other bits...
One thing I'm holding firm on is using the stock light/lid. I know this will limit me a tad on corals, but I'm OK with that.
If I get the bug, I've the perfect alcove in the office for a reefer 250 or dd900...

Awesome - I linked it further up the page. Plan is softies with some more forgiving LPS (hammers and torches) up high.
