Whilst on vacuums - are Dyson still the best handhelds for getting up pet fur and hair or is that Shark thing any good?

Miele cat and dog..

We've three cats, and a long haired German shepherd/collie Cross.

We've been through Dyson, Miele, Shark and back to Miele.

Bagless is wk when it comes to vacuums, and the Miele brush bar/head sealing is really very good at getting everything up. Twice a day...

I had a look at the Dakar truck, and this was another “similar item” suggestion.

Would it be utterly pointless to buy one and build a shed on the back for a camper van (truck)?

Nope

Admittedly that's a newer MAN which are a bit more reliable, so here's a DAF as well

I've recently replaced a Dyson with a Henry....much better and with a 5m hose can do the stairs with no lugging around.

Just read that thread and subscribed. £50k is a bit more than the Thule roof tent I was thinking of adding to my Saab! I’m able to retire in a bit and I keep coming back to the idea of a camper van (it’s going to be just me, or me and the pooch), so it wouldn’t need to be huge. I’m tempted to get a van and convert it how I want it, but I’m hopeless with anything mechanical or electrical!

There’s a guy on YouTube (Foresty Forest) who started off with a “soccer Mom” minivan, which he converted into a one man camper. It was pretty snug and he upgraded at the start of the year to a bigger van, which is also 4WD. He’s in the process of converting that, while he’s living in it and travelling round. He’s already got his bed, a fridge, diesel heater, storage, upgraded alternator, lithium battery, induction hob, roof vent/fan, interior lights. He doesn’t half graft, usually at about -15° in a Canadian Home Depot parking lot!

Cut a long story short (and forever resisting the urge to Google 'adult toys') I scrolled through nearly 300 pages of the previous Vol of this thread until I found it. Phew!

Not sure I'll be able to stretch to the CNC Program range - who am I kidding? They are exquisite, but you can buy actual great cars for those prices - but I can see this becoming a habit.

How big is that?

Can't find the headphones thread... just ordered myself some Anker Sound core Liberty Air 2 Pro.

Currently £30 off, so £99.

Airpods copycat, with noise cancelling. Hopefully decent.

I once had a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 8 MR FQ-320 and that's only 6 words long but I loved it. Headphones with a name that's 7 words long, now they'll be amazing.

Thanks. I think one would look good on a shelf with some other random stuff.

We have got a corded shark for big hoovering, plus a battery one for running around quickly - both do a decent enough job of keeping up with a Black Labrador in a house with sandy coloured carpets.

The cleaner also uses a (corded) shark.

Had a Dyson pet before and it seemed crap in comparison - not sure if the newer models are better.

The best thing though (especially on stairs) is https://www.amazon.co.uk/Home-Premium-Portable-Res... - one sweep of it over the carpet and a load of black hair just appears. Very satisfying. You can also use it to write rude words or draw rude pictures in dog hair - bonus.

Sorry, pidsy - I didn't see your earlier question. Think the website gives all the relevant details but as answered above, the car is some 6 inches long.

I couldn't resist a Leadbelly, either! Cars pictured together here but I've since placed them in display cabinet at my work with lots of other random things (great minds, and all that) and they look great.

New intake for my M3. Gains are absolutely zero, just makes the intake noise louder under load.

I went to an antique store today to look at furniture and saw a magnificent mounted stag head for sale. This one was waaaay too expensive for me but since I've got back I've been looking at them online. I think one would perfectly finish off the study/man cave in my new house but the parents think I'm mad and my girlfriend is freaked out by the idea.
Someone talk me into/out of it please?

Cracking things! Very well made IMO and very tactile. Of course, most will be displayed rather than played with but I feel they'll withstand a lot of abuse, should the wee ones get hold of them (intentionally or not).

I saw the Emilio (Velocita) JPS-style race car a long time ago and just loved it, but it was always out of stock.
Got it now.

This colour of the Leadbelly model is really quite amazing in real life.
I know, I need to get out more.

£20-£30 for toy cars of this quality isn't even that expensive.
Love 'em!

Clearly you're in the wrong thread - frivolity would be buying this and not owning an M3.
