I would like you all to meet the world's cutest oscilloscope:

Interesting! At £110 on Amazon that feels like a bargain
Yeah on a hobbyist and automotive level it's bang on. Metal case, internal battery lasts a while, other accessories available etc.

I'm using it there to look at I2C communications between a sensor and a microprocessor and it shows the weak pullup resistors in the microprocessor spec with the slow bounce back to 3.3V when the sensor pulls the pin down to 0V.

I've wrapped wire round HT leads and looked at timing compared to crank sensor signals (can trace 2 signals and derive a third), looked at duty cycles for fuel injectors, all sorts. Not really scratched the surface of its capabilities really - apparently you can download data from it, program it, etc!

And it's sooooo cute!

I was looking for one of them a few years ago after the kids had a go at Centre Parks. Do you think it would go in a suitcase?

That is what puts me off getting one but just checked the specs and....

Underwater scooter for spectacular dives and incredible snorkelling
Suitable for use in salt water
Diving depth up to 20m
Weighs only 6kg including battery
Camera mount for attaching your action camera
Removable buoyancy control chamber
Powered by a sealed lead-acid battery
Size: 6 x 38.5 x 31cm
Speed up to 3.2 km/hour
Running time: up to 60 minutes (normal use)
Charging time: 4–6 hours
Age recommendation: 16+ years
2-year warranty

Be fun for kids but I can swim faster with fins so will stick to them

I've been racking my addled-brains for such a long time trying to remember where I had seen these fabulous model racing cars.

Cut a long story short (and forever resisting the urge to Google 'adult toys') I scrolled through nearly 300 pages of the previous Vol of this thread until I found it. Phew!

www.playforever.co.uk

I'm rather late to the party in here, admittedly, but it's on its way smile
Not sure I'll be able to stretch to the CNC Program range - who am I kidding? They are exquisite, but you can buy actual great cars for those prices - but I can see this becoming a habit.

How big is that?
Oh my. I want all of those. All of them.
Very late to the party but those are amazing.
Especially those 8.5k wooden ones!

I suppose it’s cheating because I didn’t buy it, it was a gift from my wife but I am the proud owner of Babs:

Was watching Traffic Cops last night (It was that or Titchmarsh) and one of the sections had a man found dead in a car in an Iceland car park. Seems he died of a drugs overdose but had all the kit needed in the car to cut into an ATM.

The policeman investigating had one of these which he was using to light up the interior of the car before they opened the doors.

The last thing I need is yet another small LED torch...

Ordered on Amazon last night and arrived this afternoon.
I have some big larrys (offer on Amazon I think) and they're great! We used to used them to walk to the pub when we had to airbnb for 2 months between houses. But since have been used countless times.
Ordered a big and a lil, look perfect for dog walks
The Lil Larry I didn't know I needed until I caught up with this thread yesterday has just arrived. It's rather bright! <blink>

1/12 scale RC land rover (Mn99s)

Mainly for my 3yo daughter as it is slow enough for her to manage. But it is quite fun off rock crawler and pretty decent kit for the money.

I have perfectly suitable Leanne bike lights (even though I don’t actually go out in the dark). What do the apparently WiFi/connectable lights do?

Saw this and thought, "ooh, that looks like a cool model, wonder what it costs".

Turns out - it's a fully functional 3HP 4 stroke engine!! And it's over 500 quid!

Full marks for frivolity if you don't know what you're going to do with it!

I literally have no plans for it at all!

Yep I’m now thinking that my credit card also wishes that I had done exactly that now!
