This could be argued as not frivolous but has anyone got any recommendations for an accurate tyre pressure gauge? It would be frivolous of me to buy another one as I’ve got 4 already but each one gives a different reading. Anyone recommend an accurate one?

Cheers!

Maybe get a gauge that can be calibrated then have it calibrated on a semi--regular basis to maintain accuracy.

We’ve got one of these for the Caterham which is used at our Sprint and Hillclimb events.

Tyre pressure is very important on lightweight race cars like Caterham’s , and a few psi adjustments can drastically alter the cars handling.

The large face, and accurate calibration
Means you can always trust that the readings are to be trusted.

Not cheap, but worth it. Also make sure you get the pressure range you need for the type of tyres and Cars you will use it for.

On Caterham’s we run pretty low pressures so have the low pressure range scale gauges.

Or maybe he does and overkill frivolity is precisely what he's looking for.

This looks cool, I have seen guns that fire salt, are these things any good? Link? I've got one of those "Exterminator" tennis rackets but it's ridiculously hard to actually hit anything with it.

Bought a box of O rings from Lidl, about 100 for £4.

Never needed an O ring in my life and doubt that I ever will

One day you will buy some Hozelock connectors. Some time thereafter you will run out of one size of O rings; but you will still have a full complement of every other size.

Not bad, but on this thread we can do better than that. These were created by a guy in the Caterham/Graduates paddock and they are awesome. https://www.fastmateracing.com/

Don’t try hit them in the air! You need to get then when they’re stationary, from the front as they can’t fly backwards. I’ve killed loads with the death racket.

Agreed.

Wave from the front, a couple of inches above where they're sat.

Wow those look ace, and not really frivolous if you guys are using them for the academy races, more an essential purchase I would say!

And I like buying things that are way more than anyone would expect to pay, just because , well you know, frivolous!

But my gosh, even I had to double check the price at £320!
