I’m not American, I’m English. I had firearms in England before I moved to America.

I needed something to fly in the local park area when the wind isn't blowing too hard that's under the 225gram limit we have over here in the US and doesn't need to be registered with the FAA

It's been gusting 20-40mph since I purchased it : /

As a young lass I bought an album by a then, not very well known little band, called Guns n Roses. Turned out they became quite big. It also turned out that the original release that I had was swiftly banned in the UK because of its cover.
Now I’m old, my records went years ago and I’m slowly trying to rebuild my teenage collection so the regular, run of the mill cover for Appetite for Destruction just won’t do for me.
So yes, I have paid twice the price of a repressing just to own that original, banned artwork cover copy.
And you know what? It fills me with joy biggrin

I'm upgrading two working 4k 60Hz 27-inch monitors to two 4k 160Hz 32-inch monitors.

But each of the new ones comes with a free copy of Dragon's Dogma 2, which practically pays for the entire affair.

I may have gone slightly overboard.

Our water supplier offered me a rebate... of £1500.

Obviously I immediately replaced my bike pedals. With Assioma Duo power pedals. Shiny. And to keep them shiny, I replaced my lightly smoking and awful-noise making Nilfisk pressure washer... with this: https://www.directhoses.net/collections/or11-domes...

In fairness, I am on my second Nilfisk, the first having been replaced under warranty, so if the new one lasts for six years, it's cost the same.

And then there's the replacement heart rate strap for my running watch. I've gone through three cheapo ones in three years. So 25% off a genuine Garmin one seems to be a decent plan.

I am now cowering in fear with two gargantuan monitors towering over me. They're wider than my desk!

We have 2 of those. You have to pre-chill the bowl. So in the midst of a hot summer we bought a second kit. Now we never run out! But definitely frivolous.
It takes up an annoyingly large chunk of the freezer.
be frivolous and get a 2nd/3rd (small) freezer thumbup
We do have 1 full height freezer, I under-counter freezer, and a fridge-freezer. I agree that in a more mainstream domestic set-up, the volume of the bowl could be a pain smile
Of course, the proper solution to this is to get one of these, which does make rather delicious ice cream, blackberry flavour from freshly picked blackberries from the garden being a particular favourite:

Oh, and a couple of ice cream recipe books, such as this one wouldn't go amiss either..

I meant to say, I live in Liverpool..... I do technically also love in Liverpool but only when she stays at mine. Otherwise, I love on the Wirral biggrin

It's not just an American thing.... I originally frivolously purchased this a few years ago having previously been part of a club but then wanting my own

Is made from stronk Soviet steel, comrade!

I then extremely frivolously purchased this differing, complimentary little Italian number as an early Christmas present to myself this winter

Yup. Its not just Americans. I'm British (although married to an American, who has zero interest in weapons of any kind).

I bought this in November, as I swore (to myself, apparently without real commitment) that I'd use it for practical shotgun. It has sat unused in the safe, as I don't have the time. I shall probably sell it as it is utterly surplus to requirements, I think.

Been buying posters for the walk up to my home office/man cave. Started off with a poster of the set list from the Pendulum gig we went to a couple of weeks ago:

Currently trying to persuade the wife this would be awesome next to it;
