Some serious chip-pissing going on. Not really in the spirit of the thread,

Never needs winding. Runs constantly. Will run as long as there's weather. Anything else you can say that about?
It does need winding, it is just wound by converting energy from temperature and pressure changes, instead of a mechanical motion. It is very clever, but it is not a perpetual motion machine and it will not run for ever - it will need servicing otherwise like all other mechanical time keeping devices friction will get the better of it.

Also don't need to spending anything like 10k on one for the other poster, they've been in production a long time and can be had quite cheaply.

I did not say it was a perpetual motion machine.
That would be a new born baby. Sometimes 5 or 6 a day...every day cry

be warned it's probably the most annoying website I've seen in many years (Japanese with pop-ups galore)

Even Brave Browser couldn't cope with that mess of a site.

I question the frivolity of a set of tools that will get used!

Is it wrong that I don't even think $10k is an unreasonable amount?? rofl

(I see the "base" version is only $1,600 sans flamethrower. Now that is a bit of a bargain for a robot dog)

I just bought this:

It's a 1st gen P226 X-Five and I don't really need another gun... I might sell off a substantial part of my collection, which would then not make this purchase not frivolous wink

I know enough to know what a nice hand gun that is. If I were into guns and lived somewhere where they were allowed, it's definitely one I would have

Quite frivolous. Don’t need an expensive cool box as it is only about 8° today. Partial to orange stuff though.
Absolutely love Yeti! It's a slippery slope. I picked up a Tundra 45 in Camp Green, then a few bottles & tumblers, a cool bag and now they've released Agave as a colour.

I'd recommend getting their ice blocks. To supplement normal ice when filling it.
I have a couple of the 900g blocks. Seem pretty solid. Also been hording ice cubes in a ziplock bag. I know you can buy premade ice, but that seems a bit frivolous. smile
Sure, Yeti stuff is good - but is it certified Bear Proof like this one I saw in Walmart last year? hehe

Not in the same league but I bought an Igloo cooler from Costco about 5 years ago, it’s sat in the garage, I don’t think I’ve ever used it!

…I bet it’s full of spiders!

Just to add, I’ve got 4 cooler boxes, I only ever use the smallest one as it’s easy to fit in the car boot.
