Well there's a strange thing. Some friends of ours have recently moved from Rugby to an area in Northampton called Upton, so I suppose it's safe to say "they've moved down to Upton"

What a tangled web we weave smile

Didn't Billy Joel used to go out with an Upton girl?

Afternoon, chaps. Apologies for my recent absence.

First question, what misfortunes has Stuntman Mike had this week?

I got myself a new laptop and I’ve uploaded a load of slides I’d scanned in at my Mum’s (the calmest cowboy being one of the gems). Here’s a few shots of the VW Variant. I’d love to own one of these, but my mechanical skills are zero, as is my number of garages.

That’s me on the far right (of the picture, not in any kind of Nazi way).

These were taken in the mid 1970s at a place in Scotland called Mellon Udrigle, which was at the end of the road, both literally and figuratively. Get to Ullapool, then keep heading north, forever. This was the bungalow we stayed in and the signal it was meal time was a red towel, hung in the porch. I still own the exact same “signal towel”, which I appropriated/inherited/borrowed (delete as appropriate) from my Mum.

I'd wager either the USAF or the Ruskies, I wouldn't have thought anyone else would have the resources to keep very much 60 year old stuff serviceable even if they wanted to.

Probably completely wrong again but hey ho...

Think hand me downs...

Love the pictures from Scotland Dibble!!!

We've been out for a drive, Mrs Bobbers decided she fancied going for a drive to see all the different colours on the trees, today's task was finding some pictures of MIL for the order of service which we've done and emailed to the funeral directors.
I'm now trying to catch up with all the rugby!!

I was going to go with Canadairs as the Croatian air force seems to own most of them but they aren't that old

IOTN - whilst i understand the current pandemic is going to be devastating to those who are children right now and those who are in their late teens and early 20's, i am going to be that irrascible old bugger that people think i'm not and have a rant.
Yes, being locked down and on furlough is poo and no it isn't much fun at all but.....

....and it's a jolly large but....

.... having a 700 strong illegal rave or going out in your city to get steaming blind drunk and hug strangers that are out too is not fking behaving responsibly. banghead
So no actually, i wont feel sorry for da yoof because the fking yoof are not giving a flying fk about anyone else ranting yet are expecting everyone to give everything up for them and boo fking hoo, our lives are so bad. Stop being fking stupid then, you bunch of fk wits.

Aaaaaand breathe......

Don't get me wrong, the world is in trouble with this virus and this country in particular is fubar and i really do feel sorry for the young in general as they will inherit the debt of the whole country but when they do stupid st like having an illegal rave or going out on the town and getting bladdered, it does somewhat temper your opinion.

And the best bit is, you know those professionaly offended types? Wanna bet they have a protest about the dastardley guvmint ruining their civil liberties?

Now I’ve realised I’m watching a low budget feature called Hotrod!

This would explain why it doesn’t make sense?!

Watching Laurel and Hardy now.

A lot more entertaining.

rofl that “guy” is my Mum! Some clearer pictures of her (and no, I’m not remotely offended).

And again, with a few of my (seven) sisters...
