I meant to post this sooner but thank you PHSS I love my hat - it's been keeping warm whilst working in the garage and the beard lights have been great for brightening up my face.

This was my first time doing PHSS but it's been great fun!

Thanks to my PHSS for my second part of the present, I won’t post it up as it’s got my full name and workplace in it but it was very much appreciated. I’ll give it pride of place on my desk at work.

Is there anyone who hasn't yet received a PHSS gift this year?

If not, that's a good effort from all participants!!

After 2 or 3 years of playing Santa I think I’ll duck out for 2021 and let one of you reprobates harvest everyone’s data instead hehe

Thanks for all your efforts, I can imagine it's a fair bit more work that it originally appears.

The car may get built after I've cooked dinner. Looks more of a challenge than first appearances. I'll enjoy building that.

So it took a little longer getting round to opening the kit.

From the info on the box and image I was expecting a few parts and a 15minute assembly. Pleasant surprise there was a lot more assembly and parts I'd say just short of a hundred and teh instruction booklet was very well but together with good directions and images. Not your normal poorly written/translated number.

Gearbox and motor assembled.

Crank, Pistons and Heads assembled. There's actually ~34 pieces making up this section.

"Engine" and gearbox assembled.

Rear axel added and fuel cell assembled. It uses a magnesium plate as an anode and a carbon sheet as the cathode with saltwater as the electrolyte.

Model complete. It took a couple of hours leisurely building it which included filing off the plastic where it was cut from the moulds. I enjoyed every minute and learnt something too. I only wish I'd been able to build it with my nephew who would have enjoyed it too. I think disassembly would be too hard for him to build a 2nd time as the part numbers are key to the instructions. I've not yet run the model with the saltwater Although it has 3 magnesium plates I may save that to share with my nephew when we can meet up again.

Thanks again PHSS it's a great gift and the kit was great quality and right up my street V8 4x4 with portal axels what's not to like, well researched or great guess I don't care. I'll get round to properly checking the map out now all the Christmas junk is cleared away and I've less risk of creasing it.

Still a few who haven't posted pics of their gifts. As a parting shot are you planning on giving them a friendly chilli intrusion, Captain?

Thank you Santa!

The picture is vert hard to photograph but when backlit there is a 3d image of a German Shepherd (we currently have our fifth dog having lost the 3rd last September and having to give up the 4th - all rescues). Very emotional gift - thank you.

And I do like a good pun (nonseq please note I said GOOD pun smile )

As for the curry- who doesn't like curry?

All guarded by the Xmas dinosaur of course.
I'm going to out myself as your Santa.
The backlit picture is a Lithophane of George, not a generic GSD, it was taken from the thread on breeders and 3D printed.

Oh wow, thank you Bullet. Now I look closer I see that it is, indeed George. bow

I hope you liked your gifts as much I liked mine and that you, your wife, son and daughter had a good Xmas and New Year wink

Oh and the curry is good too! I've had to add another website to my favourites. lick

Can I blame my secret santa for the weight I’ve put on?

The mini marzipan butter stollen things in my parcel are ridiculously addictive. Thanks once again PHSS!

Please let my Santa know that, despite all attempts by Covid-infected delivery elves, my package arrived safe and sound. It was stuck for so long in the Dutch warehouse of doom that they assumed it was being returned due to incorrect address details but then it arrived.

I’ve just finished building the (not)Lego mini and will put up some photos when I stop being useless.

So around June probably smile

I can only assume my victim wasn't happy with the box of goodies I sent. No pic posted and not so much as a line of text feedback.

I thought I'd done well to get a couple of very personal gifts and a few little treats on top but I must've come up short. DIsappointed face.
