whistle

It's not entirely impossible if our incoming high pressure wanders off to the NE... Been keeping an eye on this for a day and a half or so. Certainly isn't time to board yet.

That said, I did enjoy my coatless before-work walk this morning!

Would be good if you could make the rain and wind stop please!

The slowworm I found in the house today and put outside is going to be really disappointed!

Colin calls it the Costa Del Thames Valley for a reason!

He's starting to shiver at the thought of summer though.

There's a butterfly outside my window in Reading. I think he's peaked too soon.

You southerners also get a longer and warmer summer. Yet still moan when you don't get snow. Actually I'm considering visiting the summer thread this coming season just to complain and moan how little sun we get, then after a small warm spell declaring how glad I am it's over and how much I hope for a return to rain, overcast skies, and cooler temps. biggrin

It would be great to have some help moaning about the summer.

Talking of which, in the Sunshine Valley of the mid Thames, summer is already here! Probably warmer here now than most Northern folk see in July and August and it hasn't rained for almost a week.

There are still some patches of snow tucked away in ditches around our Suffolk village.

Bumblebee trying to get in now. I fear for this fella when temps inevitably drop. First fly of the year through the window. Squashed immediately. Hayfever medication started on Monday, tree pollen already causing me hassle.

The garden has one of those bobbing swarms of tiny flies you see in summer, and a daffodil is out. There is hope!

Yes, the Daffs are out here, no Daffs in my garden but the Bluebells that are, are due to flower any day.

I'll probably have a lawn session this weekend; a cut-scarify and feed it the week after.
