Of course, statistically it is true that a white Easter is more common than a white Christmas. And they've taken that fact and twisted it in to saying the Met Office agree we'll have a WE. FFS.

There is no cold pool to tap in to - record Feb temps in Sweden and Germany: https://twitter.com/MetMattTaylor/status/136523459...

Can't find the link now, but saw a tweet saying Gettingen (I think?) in Germany went from daytime high of -24 to +18 from 14th Feb to 21st Feb - that's some crazy weather, and warming up nicely!

Near Thame here...did anyone elses cars get absolutely covered in a Saharan style dusting the night before last? Not sure if it was Saharan dust or someone locally drilling concrete?
Either way...they're all filthy!

Yep, I'm in Reading and my cars were covered in it.

Here in Worcs too, it's from the Sahara according to my local weather forecaster.

14 million tonnes of Saharan dust got picked up apparently.

That's a lot of desert hehe

Then I guess the edge of whatever weather brought it fell somewhere between the Reading/Oxfordshire boundary and Woodley.

Some pretty dusty cars here in Port Solent.

Further evidence that Woodley is, in fact, under a plastic surveillance dome, or doesn't actually exist.

We have a very weird localised climate round this area. Very bizarre to drive a few miles in any direction and experience very different weather.

I've observed that phenomenom in Stokenchurch and the Benson area, but never suspected Woodley would see such things. Again, points to some kind of control dome. I'm not sure I've ever seen anyone enter or leave. We just kind of scurry by, round the Sonning Cutting BP station.

As did we, Bill.

It's a lovely day now, though. I've had the window open all day while working. Feels very nice and spring-like.

(sorry to those where it's raining)
