I'm calling it for the season. We're pretty unlikely, looking at the 10 day forecast to see any more snow in that time frame, which makes anything else unlikely.
So, first proper snowfall to last proper snowfall - 6 months and 2 days. First crap snowfall to last crap snowfall - about 7.5 months.
Apparently it was a snowier winter than usual - but that was largely down to getting 22" in one snowfall in March. Pretty dry apart from that. Lots of thunderstorms this week, and coming up, which we need. Hoping the fires aren't bad this summer - it's going to be pretty dry.

I really must learn to shut up. Yes, it is snowing again. Need the moisture, though. So, first proper snowfall to last proper snowfall - 6 months and 2 days. First crap snowfall to last crap snowfall - about 7.5 months.

I found a place that records snowfall, and found that the first snowfall last year was September 8th - 9th. So it's snowed for the last 8 months.
i also see in 2018, it last snowed on May 21st. Yay.

lots of thunder, lightning and hail over Blackpool and off the coast.
Apparently a young lad was struck by lightning in Blackpool and is in a serious condition.Hope the lad pulls through.
nasty storm would not at all have been surprised to have seen a funnel cloud appear from it.
