From Bangemann's obituary in today's Telegraph online.
Just a truncated caption - it should be about prawn cocktail crisps apparently.

For once, one that isn't rude but is still quite silly!
Display formation at Newark Air Museum.

I nearly feel like buying some spare cans just for this purpose (add in a cup-full of petrol to pass the sniff test)

Some years ago I was project manager at Lucas Industries site in West Yorkshire, for a smart solenoid which was going through development with our customer being Lucas Diesel systems in France.

We needed to do some correlation of our pressure decay test, so had to rest it in diesel.
After discussions with Lucas Hartridge, we obtained 5 litres of Diesel calibration fluid.
Smells like diesel, tastes like Deisel, has the same viscosity of Diesel, has 1/100th the explosive properties of diesel.
It was in a container marked Deisel and made sure it was stored in the COSH cabinet in the Yard, next to goods in and despatch. Where lots of trucks and vans came daily. It disappeared.
Oh how we laughed.

I don't know if it's impressive or incredibly sad that I recognised where that was right away, and not because of the sign!

Is this some new recruitment drive by the Conservative Party?

"Chris Pincher had the whip removed following claims that he drunkenly groped two men at a private members club in London on Wednesday evening".

Nominative determinism?
The Telegraph again - always good for a snigger.
