They are the same people who share the hook-nose cartoons with us evil Jews sat round a table running the world.

As has been mentioned before, they are keen to find anything which means they are the little guy - Government/covid, Jews, the TV Licence man hehe

Some weird type of submissive niche.

Yup, just like the weirdo in the pub - observe from a distance, don't meaningfully engage.

You should have countered with a statement as equally outrageous, like a claim that they have a secret room under their garden shed, where they fiddle with dead badgers whilst dressed as Hitler.

A persecution fetish is very common amongst CTers.

CTist paranoia pages keep popping up on my FB feed.

They make for amusing reading though, when you see stuff like this being posted, and the comments that follow.

I think stuff like this, is really quite sad and unfortunate. That someone who 'does their research' on far right or left websites that only agree with their preconceived narrative to have the front to call school some sort of conditioning to things they dont agree with.

We need a barometer for rabbit hole depths so we can put things like this into context...

The trouble is, the more you click the more “keep(s) popping up” then it makes these CT ists and other easily led types think they’re somehow part of a unofficial consensus or it makes them think their fringe views are more common than in reality.

It just creates echo chambers for these people rather than a range of (reliable) articles and facts that instead of increasing their myopia, might actually challenge their views and opinions. You see it on here all the time where some old dimwit or racist that doesn’t know how the internet works, thinks everyone agrees with them but it’s only on PHs that others disagree, they think they’re part of a silent majority because their views aren’t reflected outside their echo chamber so reject it and imagine the media and schools and the government and the outside world are all in on some kind of Marxist plot involving footballers and science amd rich people wanting to do sinister things.

I notice it sometimes when a friend of mine shares an article about something I might disagree with, I’ll have a look then suddenly social media and search engine algorithms think I’m really into it and keeps posting more similar “suggested articles” etc

Yes, maybe it’s wrong of me to find it all a bit amusing, but the amount of s#it some of them dish out if anyone dares to offer an alternative opinion..

So, in the main, sod them, I’ll continue to find it amusing.

There seems to be a tendency within extremists, mostly on the right but there are some on the left, to believe that the majority believe the same way they do, we are just too scared/brainwashed to say so. It’s why racists tend to hate mixed marriages as it’s fairly obvious proof that not everyone has the same hate they do.

There’s political ideological echo chambers everywhere and especially online but these are based on ideology and feelings about how the world should be rather than facts and science.

The conspiracy theorists manage to ignore facts and information that doesn’t agree with them regardless of the reliability of the source and instead favour less reliable sources. Obviously to do this you have to believe traditionally reliable sources are now in on the conspiracy or now just wrong etc.

Either way it’s important to remember that our world
views and feelings and perspectives aren't actually facts but just opinions and can be changed. That way we’re entirely responsible for how we view the world and if it’s not working for us (making us unhappy etc) we can make positive changes and not be victims to circumstances.

Obviously some views we have are based on facts but again we have to be careful to make sure they are correct.

There is suspicion around the containers on board the ship that struck the Baltimore bridge.

A conversation I saw earlier today:

‘What’s in them?’ Asked one person.

‘Chemicals, for the WATER.’ Said another.

I’m actually a freight train driver, and we ferry hundreds/thousands of identical containers up and down the UK every day and night.

Maybe I’m unwittingly ‘in on it’.

Just wanted to ask, is there an increase sudden deaths amongst young athletes?

It’s nothing new, but are there more these days?

More likely that it's more commonly and widely reported.

But that's an assumption, I've not bothered looking up any actual data on the topic.

Is there any evidence of an increase in sudden deaths amongst young Athletes? Or is it just that they are being noticed more amongst the critical of thinking?

Per Wikipedia the rate is approximately 1 death per 200,000 athletes under 35, or about 0.3% of participants. Note also Wikipedia quotes a 2003 study and a 2007 Florida go at screening, so long preceding any recent event.

the 'critical of thinking' eh. It's just a fundamental misunderstanding of how the internet works really.

how many athletes do you think there are in the world? Now broaden that out to 'promising' talent who aren't yet athletes, and further to include people who just go to the gym etc. Now include any deaths amongst this population for any reason whatsoever.

In any case if you are searching for evidence to support your idea, you'll probably be able to skew just about anything to make it sound convincing.

You do a google search of "young athlete heart attack" and you'll find loads of hits. What does that mean? Nothing. You can search for anything on the internet and get loads of results.
